A converter around 2500 stall and a new shift kit that can hold any gear to any rpm. Or a VB with a shift kit already installed. This will be going in a daily driven 65 Galaxie convertible.

That's what I thought too. But as long as there is a spot for each gear selection then You could hold any gear to whatever RPM stock correct?

i have a hard time holding second gear even with my bm hammer shifter.. and when i went for a dyno, it kept shifting into OD in 4th even in drive.. it went up to 4500rpms@ 240hp then went into overdrive automatically.
