<<They are Australian Castings Mach. They are Edelbrock Victor Jr copies. Here's a link to a set of Victor Jr's on Summit's website. These heads are identical, just don't say Edelbrock on them. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-77189/?rtype=7
I've used these on a number of engines over the years and they do the job reliably. The CNC'd versions are good for over 600hp like on my 418 that is now in the racing circuit overseas. Never had a problem with these, and my new stroker longblock will be getting the same heads. Now don't be jaded by the hype, I've heard rumors of bad machinists buying these same castings and throwing garbage in them and bad valve jobs, etc. and selling them on eBay. Those heads are junk. Not the case with these or I wouldn't waste my time with them. [ June 01, 2011, 03:16 AM: Message edited by: bwkelley76 ]

Who is the manufacturer of these heads? I assume they are made by "Australian Castings" or are they casted in Australia by a company. I am a little confused because I couldn't find any info about Australian Castings. The only company that came up was a shop that casted chevy heads. <<Yes they will bolt right up to a 302 with the correct hardware. Although I've seen some people go without, you should use the correct shoulder-washers if bolting these to a 302 since they have 1/2" holes in case you use them on a 351. These will fail the visual portion of the CA emissions test unless you paint them the same color as the motor. As far as actual emissions you should be just fine if everything else is smog-legal on your car. The castings are a "Zenith" I believe? Avenger and Patriot, and a few other guys use these same castings. Avenger by far does the best valve-job on them. The castings are so close to a Victor JR that they've changed names a few times over the years as they were "too close" and in risk of patent-suits. A lot of engine builders buy these to keep costs down on their motors versus larger name-brands. The nice thing is they are a darn good casting if you know what you're working with, and a lot cheaper than Edelbrocks. [ June 01, 2011, 11:11 PM: Message edited by: bwkelley76 ]
