Friday April 19th, 2013

Meeting location:

Hotel De Oro
13070 State Highway 33
SANTA NELLA, CA 95322
(209) 826-4444

(Heading South on HWY 5 this will be the first Santa Nella exit and the hotel is on the right hand side off the freeway.)

Meeting: 6:15am
Depart: 7:00am


Drivers meeting 6:45

We will cruise and stop for gas and lunch at:

Lost Hills
Exit (CA-46 Lost Hills/Wasco)
Gas (Chevron, 76, Beacon, Texico)
Food ( McDonalds, Jack in the box, a Wendys, and Dennys)

Its 131 Miles from Santa Nella (2 hours) We will stop for 1 hour
(Clock starts as last car pulls in, Please keep your hand held radios on you for departure notifications)


From there we will continue to the grapevine and stop at:

My Fam and a couple hands full of BAMA and friends will be doing/joining

The 19th Friday morning our group will meet in Castro Valley at Trader Joe's, corner of Redwood Rd. & Grove Way 4:35am with departure time at 4:45am. We will then meet another group on Tracy freeway to meet Ca-Mustangs in Santa Nella off I-5 by 6:30am for their "Mile of Mustangs" cruise to LA.
Saturday the 20th is the famous Cars & Coffee. Then later that day I hear there is a PCH Cruise (Pacific Coast Highway). Sunday the 21st is the huge 2000 Fords car show till 3:pm or ceremonies ending. We'll have a local LA resident take us to a cool Pizza & beer spot one evening. Lots of cool cars and socializing all around the different Hotels makes for a fun weekend.
We will be ruturning Monday the 22nd.

Nice to see BAMA joining us this year. Looks like another successful year. Also Fab Fords is reporting this years show is going to be the largest turnout in years!

Roughly 60 count give or take. Same numbers as the last couple years and more showed up.

BTW only 24 more spots till the show is sold out.

Also found out a local talk show down south West Coast Gear heads gave our cruise a mention when they talked about the show.

My car runs good all year long and a week before knotts decides to not turn on. Battery was drained, got it recharged. Doesnt turn on again, going to check altinator. Got a week to figure this out cus i already paid for my reg lol

5 more days till HWY 5 is packed with Mustang and Fords heading to SoCal. Come join and see why its called "Mile of Mustangs!"

Not to mention the show is completely sold out with over 2500 cars!

Whatever group you choose to join make sure to start making a list of what you need to take!

Most show but the ones who don't usually park in the Sears parking lot. Show is free to walk around.

I'm packed cars running tits and cleaned virtually empty. Went to work and put 2 front tires on an balanced all 4 air pressures at 35 with the nitrogen for the good gas mileage and I'm sleeping with my wife to catch up on much needed rest. Who else is ready?

I need to get to sleep. The whole family still up. Four kids later I can finally take a cold shower, yeah. Hope them tanks are filled & ready to go. See ya in the mornin. Damn 4:am comes fast.

Thanks to everyone who came out. We had a real good turn out.

Sadly I was informed a few decided to drag race and almost caused a few traffic accidents by trying to shut down the freeway.

I'm not sure who it was but things like that will cancel this cruise from happeneing again. This cruise was planned to be a safe and fun trip. If you have other plans on your agenda please find another way to knotts!

Sorry for the rant.
