Stang Up Fam would like to invite all Cafords members and car clubs to the 5th Annual "Stang Up The Bay" set for Sunday April 1st. This event has grown every year with the first year being only 40 cars, and last year being at or around 200. Don't miss this event. If you've never been, then you don't know what you're missing. This is well organized cruise that has lots of fun and tons of twisties without incident. Below is information on where and what times to meet at.

P.S. Please gas up before arrival to Oakland or Foothill.

5th Annual "Stang Up The Bay" Cruise

Come out to the 5th annual "Stang Up The Bay" as we celebrate the Mustang and promote positive mustang enthusiasm around the Bay Area. With over 150 mustangs in attendance the last two years, this is one of the premier events in the Bay Area. All mustang enthusiast and car clubs are invited.

Starting points:
Sac Area: Ikea - 700 Ikea Ct, West Sacramento CA 95605
Meet up at 9:00 A.M. Depart at 9:30 A.M.

Cen Cal Area: Sonics - 3080 N Naglee Rd, Tracy, CA 95376
Meet up at 9:45 A.M. Depart at 10:15 A.M.

East Bay (Rest and Gas Break 1hr): Walmart - 8400 Edgewater Dr. Oakland, CA 94621
Meet up at 11:00 A.M. Depart at 12:00 P.M.

South Bay (Rest break, 30 min): Foothill College - 12345 El Monte Rd, Los Altos Hills, CA 94022
Meet up at 1:00 P.M. Depart at 1:30 P.M

Route:
Sac Area: 80 to 880 to Walmart Oakland
Cen Cal Area: 580 to 880 to Walmart Oakland
East Bay: 880 to 237 to Foothill College
South Bay: Skyline BLVD to 92 to 280 to Embacadero to Pier 39

This event is to promote positive mustang enthusiasm in Northern California. Burnouts, donuts, or racing will not be tolerated by Stang Up Fam, CHP, or the local police departments.

yes we will. i understand there was some kind of hold up last year. From what I gathered a car broke down in there. First time that ever happen, shouldn't happen again. But If so, I'm giving instructions for folks to pull off the road for others to pass.

Naw, we're taking it back to bare basics. The cruise during the previous 3 years ended at the pier 39 parking garage top floor. This year it will end at the pier 39 parking garage top floor where there's plenty of parking.

Naw, it's meet at a location closest to you. For example, if you live in San Jose, you meet at foothill college at the stated time. At or around that same time, the other group from Oakland will arrive there. If you live Sacramento, then you want to meet in Sacramento at the stated time and drive with that group to Oakland. About how long is the cruise from leaving walmart to getting to pier 39? And once at 39 it's just a chill out spot for a while?

We'll get to pier 39 between 4 and 5. What folks have done in the past is eat with their friends and family at the restaurants that they came with on the cruise. The feeling you get drvinging down embracadero with all those tourist watching is priceless. 100+ mustangs lined up on embarcadero

I'm sorry but I don't understand your question. But I'll try to answer the best I can. We rarely get fucked with on the cruise because we don't do anything illegal while driving or parked. So don't worry about that, if police do come they usually chop it up with us and/or give us an escort.

We eat at different restaurants at the end, and where ever folks eat at that's where they chill for a bit

Yeah I'm trying to get some of the Norcalsvtoa sac chapter guys to roll too. I should be good unless the old lady has plans for us with her family I'll know for sure later in the week.

Yeah I've been watching the weather. If the forecast doesn't change by Thursday, we'll push it back to April 1st.

I understand what you're saying. I asked folks to fill up before leaving Oakland, or before arriving to Foothill College. A full tank will get any car around the Bay. LOL. It was less than 100 miles leaving from the oakland spot.

BIG Thank you for organizing this event, we had fun seeing and meeting other ford owners and talking cars!

I did the Oakland to foothill cruise only, in that span...it would of been cool to have the first group that left the parking lot first, to chill in slow lane and make sure all Walmart cars drove "together" on 880/237 to foothill.....it just felt like everyone took off as fast as they could go leaving others to try and catch up. I thought the point of this was a "group" cruise?

That's my only feedback. People take time off work, time away from their families and spend a food amount of time and $ on their cars to attend these "cruises". Talking to others at foothill, they seem to have same comments.

I didn't mind the camaros or other non fords that showed up, the more the merrier. It was nice seeing different age groups, ethnicities and groups there. We all love cars and fords.

I did see two idiots in later model (94-99?) black stangs racing on 880, changing lanes and cutting off innocent bystanders like they didn't care. Really unsafe lane changes and cutting off families and random commuters.

it's this kind of behavior that ruins it for rest of us and brings chp and police attention towards us.

Next event, stay home morons.

I did the Oakland to foothill cruise only, in that span...it would of been cool to have the first group that left the parking lot first, to chill in slow lane and make sure all Walmart cars drove "together" on 880/237 to foothill.....it just felt like everyone took off as fast as they could go leaving others to try and catch up. I thought the point of this was a "group" cruise?

That's my only feedback. People take time off work, time away from their families and spend a food amount of time and $ on their cars to attend these "cruises". Talking to others at foothill, they seem to have same comments.

I didn't mind the camaros or other non fords that showed up, the more the merrier. It was nice seeing different age groups, ethnicities and groups there. We all love cars and fords.

agree it seem like it was a race to point a&b I got lost twice but it was a fun cruise love them corners

I understand exactly how you feel. We write the rules, speak the rules, and post the rules but some still break'em. I understand the youngsta's because I was them when I was their age. They just need a little guidance and need to learn that there's a time and and place for everything. I appreciate you for coming out to the event, and the time you spent with us this Sunday.

Just wanna say thx to the Stang up fam for Puting this run together this was my first cruise had a great time . Also thanks to all the car clubs in attendance it was nice meeting some of you my crew had a great time .

This was a fun even, I got popped for window tint and no front plate, but other than that we had a blast. Nice meeting you Roy. My girl took a bunch of pics so I'll upload them in a while.

sfpd was out in force yesterday for the occupy sf protestors...unfortunate for modified cars that day in the city lol...i saw em getting popped left and right...
