OK not sure I still get it but let me know if this answers your question....
The average drive time down is 5-6 hours, from our meeting spot to the first stop is 2 hours with an hour lunch, from there its another roughly 2 hours to the Grapevine with a 40 min stop then over the hill... So we are looking at prob a total time of 8-9 hours for this event to your hotel.
Also we have a couple rooms left at the Marriott if your interested shoot me PM.

Yes this is the Only Mile of Mustangs cruise to Knotts and this is our 6th year and the longest running organized cruise to knotts ever.
Yes there are a few other groups who have decided to go there own way in the past after being a part of our cruise and that's there choice but the whole goal is to make sure everyone gets down there safely.. so no mater what cruise you choose to take drive safe!
This cruise is organized by the members of California Mustang Club but is a multi club cruise, clubs range from Central Valley to the bay area to clubs in Oregon, Washington State and Canada.. with out all of you this would not be as successful as it is.

Just a quick update on numbers for the cruise... we have the entire list posting on ca-mustangs.com
As of right now we have 74 cars signed up for the run down... last year we had a tad over 80 listed and brought in 112 cars. This looks like another successful year.
Remember this is a All Ford cruise so any Ford powered vehicle is welcome to join, 3 year ago we had a T bucket and a few others classics on the run.
Truck's and cars welcome.

You would be surprised how many fox bodies you see on this cruise, thanks to cafords and the members who help push this event...
For those concerned with the speed of the cruise, you wont be left behind... its hard and almost impossible to keep 100+ cars together on the freeway and although its called the "Mile of Mustangs" its more like "10 mile stretch of Mustangs"
We try to keep on a time schedule but the clock on the stops doesn't start till the last car pulls in and we always have someone at the back of the cruise to let us know when everyone is there.

I already got my room booked there. I've stayed there for the last 2 years. The whole hotel parking lot is full of mustangs .

The hotel told me today I cant add anymore rooms to the block.. there are only 10 rooms left in the entire hotel... and a few of them are rooms under another group for that weekend who have not booked so they might pull there rooms for other people calling in.
Best bet is to call and ask for the AAA discount.

I called and reserved my room tonight for the Courtyard Marriott for $120 a night. That's for 2 double beds in a room. I'm good for Fri, Sat, and Sun. night. I'm coming home on Monday.

Sorry guys I couldn't do anymore on the room rates, we ended up with 45 rooms in our block.. the hotel said no more discounts.. guess they didn't expect us to pack it in again this year.

I tell everyone to plan.. 500 a person for one and if splitting 350-400 each for more than one.. That let's u eat good, drink, gas and motel.. If u eat dollar menu and don't drink u can save some bucks.. Gas is 150 round trip for a stock 5.0 or 4.6.. And we do 100 per night for motel and then add food.. Me and the wife spend about 1k when we go and don't have to worry about money..
Also u can add M&M performance plus atleast 5 to the list.. This will be my 5th year going and for those never been.. I promise u won't regret it!

Alright everybody. Gear up. We're just a few days away. Get your emergency fluids, tools, belts, gaskets, whatever it is you feel you need to ride along with (in case of an emergency).

We are only a few days away and we have well over 100 Vehicles attending.... Its very important that you all attend the drivers meeting prior to departure, we have important info to pass on.
Unfortunately we do not have event T-shirts this year.
For those worried about the speed, I will be in the back of the pack this year in my f250 10" lift on 40s cruising at 70mph.. I will be the last in line.. So when we hit the rest stops the clock wont start till I pull in so everyone has a fair break period.

That I don't know... each meeting spot has kinda created a life of its own, usually everyone decides what they want to do before they leave.. I know the east bay group is meeting up with the Tracy group.
Also we plan to take a group shot with everyone after the drivers meeting for an article that will be written about this cruise.

This STUPID rain will keep most of particles down. So I think there's no need (unless you've got a fresh expensive paint job). Fuck...this rain sucks a dick
