Hey I'm looking to put together a meet for the new year. This one will be a late night event and just an opportunity to shoot the shit and hang out for a little. Maybe some street tuning. I would like to get together guys from the bay, sac, and stockton in one location, but it will probably done in the middle of where we have the most people.

******UPDATE********

For the most part we will chill and pop the hoods a little bit. Weather is supposed to be clear on Saturday. Once we get to sonic and it gets a little later we can figure out the best places to handle some other activities. So be easy the first part of the night and keep ur nuts in teh sack. The sooner we start making noise, the sooner cops show up and start sending people home.

I looked at the parking lot for sonic and we will probably spill over to surrounding lots if we have a good showing. Just a heads up since parking is always an issue with large groups. SF guys I'm not sure of your area so I can't pick a spot for you to meet. But at least you got the times. SSF 50/cali95gt appear to have a good grasp on things so I'm hoping they will set something up. Here's the times.

Sac area Meet: Ikea in west sac @ 800pm
Sac Area Depart: 830pm

Vallejo Area Meet: Home Depot (admiral callaghan) @ 930pm
Vallejo Area Depart: 10pm

Group meet: Sonic (6055 Main st) @ 1030pm

So basically the timing is setup to where we will arrive @ home depot 30 mins after closing so the lot will be empty. Then we can get to sonic with plenty of time to still order food and it should be pretty empty since the clubs and parties haven't been shut down yet. I will get a map up soon. If you forsee any issues with my timing let me know.

Weather channel is predicting NO rain and scattered cloud cover. High of 60 and low of 44. Sounds decent to me

If anyone has suggestions of a good midway point to meet let me know.

As far as I'm concerned its the more the merrier. But a group of muscle cars at night or on a freeway draw attention. That only gets compounded when u start throwin in scrapers and ish. I wanna keep the risk of cop involvement to a minimum

Yeah i agree. If you wanna do "street tuning" go do it away from the group but when you come back to the group try and be mature and responsible so the entire group doesn't have to spread them and ruin the night for everyone.

Im down for this event 4 sure fellas. BUT, I will say this, street tuning is only a good idea when you roll out with a small group of cars, but in a large group, it just causes problems. A large group meet up at night will draw attention from cops in the 1st place, & when you add agressive driving & racing into the mix, your asking for trouble....

Well I guess ill stand up and be the first to say. Every meet I have ever been to in SAC there has always been "street tuning" . Especially when we roll out to a spot. We are supposed to cruise and what not but everyone ends up going like 90 mph to get there. Its a guarantee there will be racing, especially on the freeway.

Don't worry fellas. I'm not setting up a street racing event. Just a late night GTG like the ones all the areas have been having lately. Only this time with all the areas together in one spot. Any extra currricular activities we can setup for once were all done

Any suggestions on good places to meet though? I'm thinking about that Big Kmart parking lot we used for the lake berryessa cruise in fairfield I think

I'm with 94deuces, fairfield is an adventure for people coming from sf. I would still go but don't know about the others. We don't mind going across bridges jut try to pick a spot a little more closer.

Fairfield is a good halfway meeting point between the sac a bay area folks. I would be down to roll out. I would like to know where we are going ahead of time though..

Good feedback fellas. That's what I wanted to know. Would six flags be a better meet point? I know we can use that rest area again off the freeway, the parking lot by the movie theater and target, or I think there is a big lot near six flags right?

Also trying to consider if any of the stockton crew want to roll out. Where a good spot to meet is. Not getting much rersponse from them yet though.

However for the sac area/bay cats that NEVER show up to events/GTG's even when they are close to them I don't wanna hear any complaining. Gas your stang up and use it for what its made for.

Personally I still think Fairfield is a fair 1/2 way point between Sacramento & SF. Fairfeild is only 46 miles from SF & 46 miles from sac, while Vallejo is 60 miles from Sac & 30 miles from SF... Not to mention, Fairfeild is much Closer to Stockton/Central valley peeps than Vallejo is....

vallejo may be closer to the sf people. But don't forget we have to pay 2 seprate bridge tolls. That's an extra 8 bucks. Not reall a lot of money. But at least give us a break and drive a little farther to the six flags

Damn man I'm loving all this input we gettn no matter where we meet its looking like were gonna have a nice turnout and have some fun. I'm gonna get on the google maps and locate some sonic's out that way. I think that's the best cruise destination that's open late night where we can eat and chill.

Fellas. Dont concern yourselves too much with the whole mileage issue. Its looking like once we all meet up that were gonna cruise over to sonic on american canyon. and if we plan on having fun and driving a bit then that extra 15 miles or 10 minutes of driving wont really matter in the big picture.

Either way it goes were all driving to vallejo. I feel for you bay area guys with the tolls and such. Part of the reason why i dont go out there that often. But thats just a part of life for those living in the bay so set aside $8 when you all get paid so we can make this happen. I will keep looking at the best meet spot over near 6 flags so i can post up some concrete info.

I'm down 4 wateva an extra 15 miles won't hurt. I just would like 2 know how reefblue can eat so much and stay skinny every meet that's all he's worried bout is when we eatin. So I think that ikea spot is a good place 4 sac to meet before we head out but I'm not sure what time they close but I do know there's a few spots for mike 2 choose from 2 eat at [Big Grin]

For the East Bay folks, instead of Hilltop we've met at In-In-Out Pinole previously, which has worked well as there is ample parking and it is right off I-80.

Hard to keep a car clean with this weather lately though lol. I actually washed my car in the rain the other day just cause it was dirty, lol.

Nastysvt: timiing is setup so we avoid traffic and people shopping. Even if you can't be out there all night the home depot portion is relatively early

For the most part we will chill and pop the hoods a little bit. Weather is supposed to be clear on Saturday. I looked at the parking lot for sonic and we will probably spill over to surrounding lots if we have a good showing. Just a heads up since parking is always an issue with large groups. SSF 50/cali95gt appear to have a good grasp on things so I'm hoping they will set something up. Here's the times.

Sac area Meet: Ikea in west sac @ 800pm
Sac Area Depart: 830pm

Vallejo Area Meet: Home Depot (admiral callaghan) @ 930pm
Vallejo Area Depart: 10pm

Group meet: Sonic (6055 Main st) @ 1030pm

So basically the timing is setup to where we will arrive @ home depot 30 mins after closing so the lot will be empty. Then we can get to sonic with plenty of time to still order food and it should be pretty empty since the clubs and parties haven't been shut down yet. I will get a map up soon. If you forsee any issues with my timing let me know.

For what its worth...

The Home depot parking lot is a good spot to meet up - lots of room there.

Vallejo police shouldn't be a problem but I would be a tad concern with the police officers in American Canyon - they usually have a tight lock on that little town.

Also,

The Sonics parking lot is kind of small but there are other parking lots to overflow into, though, if member serves me correctly, there isn't any directly next to Sonic. There is a parking lot in front of sonic. If anything, the Wal-Mart parking lot there is huge.

Had a few good runs on hwy 80 back to sac too. 50deeps car runs hard & so does Chris83179's Bullitt. Wish my car revved higher than 6000 rpms. Me & Chris were kneck & kneck all the way through 4th until I ran out of gear. He definitely has 1 of the quickest NA 2V's in the area, & Terrance's sh#t is damn quick, but it was hard for us to get a good run because neither of us has a working horn LOL... Now I need to step it up & build that high compression 347 I been planning LOL...

Yo T, we need another run from a slow 2nd gear roll & when I have no passenger...

Kanye has a 306 with higher compression, better heads, better cam, & my 3.73's with a 6k rpm redline arent exactly ideal for a mid 3rd gear freeway pull. I wasnt in the mach, I was in the stock bottom end HCI fox, with an E cam at that.... My shifting was fine, & neither of us has a horn, so we had my passenger counting it off & T was getting the jump on me everytime. No excuses though, his car runs good....

I'm not sure how to put this...... THAT SHIT WAS TIGHT LAST NIGHT. 50+ cars with fox's, camaros, vettes, modulars, trucks and even some imports. That was a much bigger turnout that I expected. Crazy thing is we didn't really get harassed by any of the cops that showed up. we were so deep out there that the sonic actually opened back up since we had so many people. I flirted with the shift manager a lil too since East Bay 50 ain't got no game [Big Grin]

Really wanna thank Nastysvt and those stockton guys for making the trip up. And a big shout out to SSF50, Calicoop and Jae for gitting the bay guys together and coordinating the extra curricular activites. Carajo came out there pretty deep with his crew also. Ima see if I can join the saleen sc club now

Sac area guys we definitely gotta run again once I get rid of these 2.73 gears. I'm glad my car is running but I'm sure I might break some hearts with them 3.73's. I'm surprised as hell at how fast chris's bullit is. And bubba's hatch is moving also. Epik man that lil coupe fuckin scoots. I'm coming for that mach tho best believe.

Real good meeting those new cats though. 84svorick, 8stang8 and a bunch of other foos i can't even remember. Had a good ass time and will definitely do it again. That's one of the first times I can remember bringing together the sac & bay area at night. I can say we were honestly 50 Deep last night. Haha. I got some pics I will throw up later.

Kanye has a 306 with higher compression, better heads, better cam, & my 3.73's with a 6k rpm redline arent exactly ideal for a mid 3rd gear freeway pull. I wasnt in the mach, I was in the stock bottom end HCI fox, with an E cam at that.... My shifting was fine, & neither of us has a horn, so we had my passenger counting it off & T was getting the jump on me everytime. No excuses though, his car runs good....

EPIK foo you still got me in the coupe. If we had the same gearing I would of gotten off in that ass though. I'm happy right now though knowing that you, chris, bubba & daley all start to edge me out but you all have 3.55's or higher and I got 2.73's. I still have some stumbling I notice here and there. I'm probably gonna drop the cash for a tune after my gears.

thx man, i dont know where to begin. its got a 2.6l stage 2 KB sc on it running 17psi. new block, ported head, custom ground cam, rps clutch n flywheels kit, kooks long tube and off road x pipe, 80lbs injectors, cobra crank, diamond racing custom pistons, canton oil pan..... lol the list goes on n on, but that all i can think off the top of my head.

wish i would have stayed around a lil later but id been up since 6am. cant wait for another meet like that. cheers

I chemical stripped my car. I didn't have a sander either at the time and a few hours of sanding fuk that. House of colors has a matt black if you wanna do a flat color.

yo T, go to home depot and buy rustolium satin black, get 2 quarts of that and ill help u shoot ur car at my shop. just give it a good sanding, the paint will only cost u 16 bucks total.oh and get 2 rolls of scotch blue tape and a roll of paper while u are there. it comes out clean too, ill send u a pic.

also i have a complete rear end with ford racing 3.73s in it at my shop ill give u for $250 if u wanna do it urself or ill give u the 3.73s installed in ur rear end for $350..lmk

Well when hes got a better motor, no passenger, & he jumps on the gas a couple of seconds before me, hes gonna have an advantage. Plus the with his longer gears, he will have more of an advantage on the hwy....

It will definitely be a lot more fun with a motor like that. I dynod a touch over 400rwhp on a mustang dyno with the s trim. Coming from a pretty much stock HCI cobra to that was crazy.

epik did beat me last night. even with my longer gears he crept up on me. but if our cars had the same gearing i dont think he would be able to catch me

Kanye has a 306 with higher compression, better heads, better cam, & my 3.73's with a 6k rpm redline arent exactly ideal for a mid 3rd gear freeway pull. I wasnt in the mach, I was in the stock bottom end HCI fox, with an E cam at that.... My shifting was fine, & neither of us has a horn, so we had my passenger counting it off & T was getting the jump on me everytime. No excuses though, his car runs good....
I thought you would have pulled on him since he is running those long gears.
Well when hes got a better motor, no passenger, & he jumps on the gas a couple of seconds before me, hes gonna have an advantage. Plus the with his longer gears, he will have more of an advantage on the hwy....
I didnt see you guys were doing free way runs. Thought you were from the dig. Either way its just more motivation to build the 347 .
Pretty sure from a dig, I can take em right now, until he gets gears. Cant wait until I build a better motor. Im shooting for 400/400 NA. Its gonna be a while though. I might just spray mine for now LOL...

I can always put a bottle on my foxbody and the only thing you would see is tailights and tailpipes lol! better yet if you get a bottle on your foxbody I can just get my Cobra tuned for the bottle that is already on it and beat you that way too ha ha ha! Probably wait till early spring though. Had another car club hit me up wantin to set up an event but iono how that's gonna play out either. It will be after some upgrades though.
