This was posted on another forum I frequent, thought you guys might be interested, and they said to spread the word so..
4th Annual Cruise to Knotts!
"Mile of Mustangs"
& all Ford cruise!
April 17th 2009
Join the largest Heard from NorCal ever!
Dont miss the largest cruise from Northern California to Fabulus Ford Forever 2009!
Meeting location:
Petro Truck Stop
State Hwy 152 & State Hwy 33
28991 West Gonzaga
Santa Nella, CA 95322
Meeting up at 6:30am and leaving by 7:00am
We will cruise and stop for gas and lunch at:
Lost Hills
Exit (CA-46 Lost Hills/Wasco)
Gas (Chevron, 76, Beacon, Texico)
Food ( McDonalds, Jack in the box, a Wendys, and Dennys)
Its 131 Miles from Santa Nella (2 hours) We will stop for 1 hour
From there we will continue to the grape vine and stop at:
Grapevine Petro Truck Stop
I-5 at Laval Road West
5821 Dennis McCarthy Dr.
Lebec, CA 93243
There we will meet up with the other leg of the cruise form HWY 99
First exit after HWY 5 and 99 Merge. There is your final chance to grab some gas and snacks before the trip over the hill.
Direction of travel from the Grapevine Petro Truck Stop will be as follows:
I5 south to the 210 East to the 605 South to the 91 East to Beech Blvd and go right to your respective hotels.
At the end of the cruise you will be pulling into your respective hotels. After some time to allow people to check in and rest for a bit, we will be meeting in small groups to enjoy the local resturants.....
We are expect this cruise to be even larger than last year.. Don't miss out!
We want everyone to know about it.. if you have another Ford site you frequent and would like to post the event in that site.. please do.. just make sure to keep an eye on the cruise threads for an update and if you can make a list of those going from your site it would help out a lot.. Then we can update the list on here for each site.
San Jose area meeting spot:
The South Bay meeting spot for Knotts will be in the parking lot of the Target store on Silver Creek Road right off of Highway 101.

We'll meet up at 5:15 am and leave the parking lot by 5:30 am. From there we will convoy over to the Petro Truck Stop on State Hwy 152 & State Hwy 33.
Tracy Area Meeting spot:
The Tracy and surrounding areas will be meeting at the Chevron Station on the corner of 11 street and Corral Hollow.

We will leave here and head down 99 about 20 minutes and pick up a few Atwater members at:

Departure Time: 6:15 am
We will head out and cruise down 99 to meet up with the Fresno crew which should take us about an hour and half. At about 8:00am we should arrive at:
Central/99 Exit
Fresno area meeting spot:

Meeting time: 7:45 am
Departure Time: 8:15 am
At this point we will have about a 30 minute break for those that need to gas up and stretch. At 8:30 We head out for about a 2-3 hour drive down 99 to meet up with the I-5 crew and end up at:

Just like what 302 said.. the cruise leads down to Buena Park / Knotts Berry farm, once we get into town people usually split up and head to there hotels.

Also we have 54 cars posted just from CA-Mustangs going on this cruise.. that doesn't count the other 2 dozen on other sites... I think we will easily break last years number of 83.

Just made reservations at the Knotts hotel for the weekend. There is a package with a 2 queen bed room, four tickets for the park for sat and sun with an all you can eat breakfast for one day. Good deal for the weekend, if you can room with one or two people.

Cruise shirts will have the club logo on the front chest and here is the logo for the back.. They will be offered on Black, short sleeve and long sleeve shirts and black hooded sweatshirts.
When you call they will take your order and payment.. once they get a bulk order in they will process it and ship you your order.

I stayed there a few years ago and it wasnt that bad. Its not 5 star but nice. The room was nice and the service was OK. For being so close to the event Its worth it. Plus if you get the weekend package you get tickets to knotts and the water park, plus free breakfast...

Yes Sunday is the Fab Fords show.. its not an awards show, more of a tribute to Ford... Friday is our Cruise.. Already up to 132 Cars.. Saturday we have our Show and shine/BBQ/Dyno day at tech and now canyon cruise...

We have only had one car issue on all our cruises down and someone always stops to help out... This cruise isnt about speed or how fast we can get there, its about getting there safely and making sure we all make it!

I'm pretty sure you guys in ssf are meeting at 4:00 and leaving by 4:15 to head over to Livermore to the meetup at 5:00, then leave from there at 5:15 to meetup with the main group of cars in Tracy at 5:30. The cruise begins to L.a. from Tracy. well at least thats how some of my friends from that area did it last year..

The main meeting spot for the cruise is in Santa Nella, all these other spots are meeting spots for locals to group together and head out. We have meeting spots all over the bay area, San Fran, San Jose, Sacramento.. All leading to Santa Nella.
We also have a small group heading down HWY 99 and meeting up with our Fresno chapter, they will join us at the base of the grapevine.
Remember this isn’t a race on how fast we can get there... with over 150 cars, the goal is to have fun, stay safe and get EVERYONE there in 1 piece.
Once all the legs join at Santa Nella we will have a drivers meeting to go over a few rules and also things to watch for during the cruise. Such as (Photographers for magazine article) Also a couple guys will be filming in HD for a video that will be made to tribute the cruise.
We are 150+ strong with Team Shelby now joining the cruise... this by far will be the largest cruise ever from NorCal in any make and model.
I have talked with local CHP and they will not bother us if we use our heads and drive normal.
The main group we will average between 75-80 on the way down... the group will split up (expected with this amount of cars) but it will all be the same cruise just smaller packs along the way.... No reason not to take up as many lanes as possible just as long as you allow others on the freeway the right of way if they choose to pass us.
Only a few weeks away!

Is anyone planning on going to the Knotts park? I will have 2 extra tickets and hate to see them go to waste. I am staying at the knotts resort and wont get them until I check in. These are free so whoever posts first gets them.

We felt this way is better. You have to remember this is a week day and there is alot more going on in bay area towns then on the weekends.... we felt this would be less confusing and easier on everyone.

Just go to the Knotts website and go to the what's hot discount/promos link at the top of the webpage. You will see the special in that page. Also u have a choice of buying the all u can eat BBQ for 39.99 a person. That one u have to call though, but I think is better than the 20+ u may spend on burgers and fries only for 2.
Maybe we should do a CA Fords group of those who are going. Hit me up if ur going. I will be there Friday.

I would like to thank everyone from CaFords who joined us on the cruise, this year was a TOTAL success!!! We had 112 cars, compared to the 83 we had last year.. the popularity of this cruise and the reputation of how much each year it gets better and better helps alot...
We are already in the talks of how we can improve next years cruise, which we already expect a HUGE turnout! Main thing on the table is a better main meeting spot, we are going to scratch Santa Nella.
