1st of June
Start time is 9:00 am
We will start from San Francisco’s AT&T Park, there is a plenty of space for us and we can get easily to the 280 Highway.
After we start from AT&T park we will take 280 South slowly for people to catch up and take 1 South for the scenic route.
We then will take 92 East until it meets 280 keeping it on 280 South.
We'll take 280 until it becomes 680 North and stop at the Automall Parkway and have lunch.
From there we will take 680 North until we get to the Crow Canyon exit and turn right into Crown Canyon Rd. We will continue on this road until we pass the Camino Tassajara intersection and turn right into Blackhawk Plaza.Right there will be the “The Blackhawk auto museum”.
Anyone can write to me at jhmustangride@gmail.com
For mapquest purposes:
AT&T Park
[540-599] Mission Rock St
San Francisco, CA 94158
*Nearest location to where we are staging
Blackhawk museum
3700 Blackhawk Plaza Circle
Danville, CA 94506
Directions from the San Francisco Giants webpage on how to get to AT&T park:
How to get to AT&T Park by car
From the Peninsula/South Bay
Take 1-280 north (or I-101 north to I-280 north) to the Mariposa Street exit. Turn right on Mariposa Street, then left on Third Street to get to the parking lots.
From the East Bay
Take I-80/Bay Bridge to the Fifth Street exit. Exit onto Harrison Street. Turn left onto 6th Street and continue onto I-280 South. Take first exit at 18th Street and turn left onto 18th Street. Continue over freeway on 18th and turn left onto 3rd Street. Continue on 3rd Street to the parking lots.
From the North Bay
Take Highway 101 south/Golden Gate Bridge to the Marina Blvd. exit. Continue on Marina Blvd. past Fort Mason and turn left onto Bay Street. Continue on Bay and turn right onto the Embarcadero. Continue on the Embarcadero under the Bay Bridge until it turns into King Street. Turn left onto 3rd Street (the ballpark is on your left) and continue across the bridge to the parking lots.
More info on eating at Automall Parkway:
There are lots of places to eat at the Pacific Commons shopping center. Some of them I saw were:
Aplebee's, Dickeys BBQ Pit, Wing Stop, Costco, Kaenyama, A La Shangai, Kinder's, Yes Swirl, Cold Stone, Jamba Juice, Quiznos, PF Changs, Starbucks, Claim Jumpers, Carino's Italian Grill.
There is a good looking staging place behind the building where the Starbucks and Old Navy are. After passing the 880 freeway on Automall Parkway, make a left on the second traffic light (Christy St.) and make a left on the first traffic light (Curie St.). Go to the end of Curie St. and turn left. That is the place we're going to stage to leave back to 680 North.
The Blackhawk museum is set, $7 a head is how much of a discount they can give us. I believe some cars can be shown on on their plaza. Here is the link which shows the plaza: http://www.blackhawkmuseum.org/plan_trip.html
Bring your hand held two way radios if you got them, preferably 3 Mile or more range for communication on the cruise. I will give channel info the day of the cruise.
Here is my phone number (510) 461-2035. Call me with any questions or comments. Call me anytime

Hey JoeFox, u know this event would have a much better turnout if it had another month of planning & getting the word out. not to mention that there are going to be alot of people missing it because they will be @ the Goodguys show on Sunday...
That being said, i will still be there....
Posted by JOEFOX87 (Member # 8331) on
:
Understood Epik, I was trying my best to get everything planned so that there would not be a conflict of shows. But I know that there is almost anything that is going to happen any given day, so I decided to do it this day.
I wanted to do a cruise for all Norcal Stang members so we can be proud of our Bay area. I see many a cruise be done in Socal and felt it's our turn. Again I apologize to all for the conflicts and confusion. And never did I want to take away from any cruise done in the past.
I do thank all of the members here helping me out and pointing out things to me. This cruise is done through members for members.

also, I would like to cruise at $4.?? a gallon to whatever would be coming the next month.

so just curious how many people are going so far??? this is for this coming Sunday right??? so far i'm in and i'm probably bringing 3 more cobras with me.
Posted by JOEFOX87 (Member # 8331) on
:
From what I can tell so far, I could say is about 25+ cars, I have not received e-mails yet, but that's what I see from the posts on this forum.
looks like support is growing!! let's keep this up. After today is only 4 more days.

did you want an email confirmation from the people who are planning to attend?
Posted by JOEFOX87 (Member # 8331) on
:
Confirmation TO ATTEND is NOT needed, but would greatly help me in getting the Blackhawk museum set up for our group. I need how many cars and people you are coming with to know how much parking and how much tour guides to give us.

Just edited my main post for the directions for when we are on the 680 heading to the Blackhawk museum. I did it to prevent confusion.
I have a question to all attending. Would you guys preffer getting on 580 East and going on the Santa Rita Rd. exit, turn left onto Camino Tassajara Rd. and get to the Blackhawk Plaza that way.
I believe it would better because it has less traffic lights and wouldn't break up the group as much.
Let me know what you think.

So what time did u guys get to the museum? We were there from about 2:30 to 3:30 and saw no one. Right before we left we saw Epik and Streakmatt pulling in but we had a long...trip and it wasent plesant! I got a bolt through my rear tire that dented my 1/4 panel. So after a 2 1/2hr drive we didnt see no more then 4 cars including mine.

Great cruise. Lots of nice cars...The route & length was perfect...Thanks to JoeFox for organizing this. I look forward to next year's "Stampede"...
WickedStang, we saw you guys at the museum, & thought that the car looked familiar, but you guys didnt say anything so we thought it was just a coincedence...Sorry to hear about the car. It sucks that most of the Stangs already had went home by then...
Pics will be up soon

I have no problem setting this up for next year. It will be hard to outdo, but I will take the challenge.
