I'm diggin the saturday night meets up in roseville but on occasion things seem to get a lil hot with cops. Also its a hella lot of driving. I was thinkn to take a break from things we could have a bbq on like a saturday or sunday morning/afternoon. I kno of a nice park in elk grove that's always empty and has plenty of parking. Tucked away in a residential area so no cops either. I'm thinkn we can all chill out and bbq, pop the hoods, and play a "friendly" game of football or basketball. Then we can talk shit about chevys and even bring the fam if ud like. Figured I'd throw it out there. Post up if you would be down & I can figure out a date.

Ok so I've done some research and there's 2 open dates that seem optimal. We can either do it june 23rd or on june 30th. There is mustang madness on the 23rd but that won't start till 4. So we could meet up at around 11 or 11:30 (or sooner) & bbq then roll 2 the track after for those who plan on going. Or the 30th is a full day with no track events planned as far as I can tell. So no conflicts with schedules hopefully.

I thought about the 16th but that's the day J is puttn together the cruise to tahoe. And july 6th is the norcal EFI shootout.

So yeah what u think. The 23rd or the 30th? Those are both saturdays. If ur open for the following day which is a sunday just put it out there.

Aite the 30th it is. Now we just gota figure out the time and who is bringin what. I'm talkn hella meat haha. Steaks, chicken, burgers, hot dogs and some sides. Whatever. And for those who drink some beers or mikes hard lemonade. As long as nobodies hella faded. Plus we can all sock caliboy up for his birthday. Haha. Oh and ima be runnin cats on the football field.

So far were lookn @ 15 that have posted up to be going. But that's not counting the Ls1 cats jesse will bring, extra company we will bring, and ppl on the site that won't post up but just roll thru. So its lookn good.

We will probably need some extra ice chests and water too since we will be runnin round in the heat.

Oh and I don't mind sharin the food but if you plan on rollin up empty handed and eatn hella food u are sadly mistaken

The event was Highway 50 west going toward I-5. You pulled up next to me with Mike riding passenger. We lined up with 3 honks and then next you got owned. About this BBQ who's all showing up to play baseball? Bring a mitt!!

But as far as the park you would exit 99 and take calvine rd east. Go up calvine and turn right on sheldon north. Take sheldon north till it stops and go left. Then the parks on ur left hand side. I'm still waitn for caliboy08 to bring that damn camera.

Alright guys this is offical. We will be meeting at the park ataround 10am to get the baseball game started. This will probably be an all day event. Please make sure you show up and let Terrence, myself or caliboy know what your bringing to pitch in and how many guest will be with you. We will start BBQ-ing around 1:30-2ish.

I will be bringing some games like a deck of cards and a set of domino's. We will also be taking pictures so make sure your car looks good. I think personally were going to have alot of fun. For those who don't want to make it the store that's fine. Were going to make one store run before we start bbq-ing to get any last minutes items and or more food if people want to just pitch in some cash.

Other then that we should all have a great time then after the BBQ go for a nice cruise on the hot saturday night and see what happens from there. Looking forward in seeing alot of you guys out there and looking forward to meeting alot of you guys as well.

So here's a list of some things we will need that haven't been put up. Some aren't necessities but some are. Just what I brainstormed @ work

*Condiments (ketchup/mustard/etc)
*Sliced cheese (for burgers)
*Bbq sauce (homemade or bought)
*Foil
*Ice chest( 1 for drinks, 1 for meat)
*More ice
*Serving utensils (spachelas, tongs)
*Seasonings (salt, pepper, etc)
*Table cloth
*Water
*Napkins
*Foil trays (to keep cooked food in)
*Hot links
*Fruits (maybe grapes or summn)
*Trash bags
****MORE MEAT****

But yeah were gona make a store run b4 we get goin if we need more items. And if what ubrought isn't used up feel free to take it hm wit u.

And I don't think were gona need a permit but to be safe we needa keep the alchohol in plastic cups. That way if cops get nosy were good.

hey I am new to the site but count me in. I will be coming with river city auto. I will bring some beer and soda and some foil trays and pitch in some change for anything else we might need.

If anyone has a costco card we could probably make a big run before the bbq if people wanted to pitch in like 5$ each. However, it would have to be early since saturdays at costco arent fun with the lines.

Damn this shit is getting huge! Looks like we have enough people that if we wanted, we could have a tournament in basketball, football, baseball, soccer or whatever and then we could crown the winning team the champion of the first CAFords BBQ this leads me to my next thought, What would everyone think if we had some type of car contest and judged the cars and maybe have small prizes? Just some thoughts in the spirit of competition not trying to step on anyones toes!

I think if everyone brings something to put on the grill, maybe a 12 pack of something to drink soda, water, etc and something to snack on to pitch we should more then enough. For Instance im bring to 2 racks of ribs, 24 pack of soda, and most likely some fruit. Everyone should follow suit. Plates, napkins, forks and knives are easy pickings if we need to roll to the store.

There's a list on pg 5 of what ppl told me there bringn. And if ur bringn meat try 2 season it the night b4. The less we gota handle raw meat the better. Just cook it and grub

And yeah if erryone can try to get there around 10 the better. Just so we don't end up with a minivan or a 84 honda in the middle of our photos. Ima be out there like 930ish. Plus I'm tryna get the park on lock early and keep it that way all day.

Ima be partyn friday night just like everybody else So sleep off that hangover & get ur asses up

Please understand everyone this isn't to target anyone at all. We simply want everyone to have a good time with no interuptions. Im sure we have all been to an event like this where things have gotten out of hand. We would just like to prevent this at all cost to ensure we all can enjoy the company of everyone.

On a better note we would like to see everyone bring alittle something to help out. Looks like we will probably be running low on drinks. So if everyone could please bring something to put on the grill and a 12 pack of soda, juice, water etc. that would really help out. Please don't be affraid to bring any condiments you would like on your Burger, etc because im pretty sure we will go through those quick.

All we ask is for everyone to respect the area. Im sure we will not be the only GTG at the park due to the 4th coming up and everyone trying to get to the outdoors and have some fun like us. Please make sure your rides look good. IM sure there will be plenty of picture taking so make sure you rep your ride the right way. Im looking forward in seeing all of you out there and getting a chance in meeting alot of you. Thanks for your understanding in this matter and would like to say thank you in advance to everyone who has helped out

Well it was a nice turn out. We had about only 12-14 people show up today. I was hoping for alot more but I guess everyone had other plans. I got to meet some new people and it was cool to meet all of you guys and see some of you again. Can't wait to see the pictures.

Thats a good setup... Your car will have the perfect stance & handle pretty good too. I recommend later on getting some MM rear lower control arms, subframes & maybe a panhard bar.

LOL a little Friendly ish-talking is always fun. It would have been fun going to the track. Being the only chevy out there I had to repersent in some way lol. Everyone has nice cars. Seeing all those Fox bodies makes me want to buy anothor one. One day I will. The track day would defiantly be super fun. Also check out the July 29th Cruise my buddy Strap is throwing. It's going to be a super nice cruise and very respectable. It was nice seeing the 50reasons crew out there reppin. And it was alot of fun just telling stories laughing about when john got his whip taken lol!!

IM pretty confident that i'll have this all done before the July 29th cruise. Reason im posting it in here cuz I know everyone in the general talk area will hate on this post lol. Number to be expected n/a are some where about the 450-480 mark. I have seen set up's like this come hit 500 rwhp but i know mine won't because my luck to dyno numbers are always shit lol. I'll post pics up as the build up is in progress.

Yeah i changed my screen name. i thought this would be alittle easier for everyone to remember who I am lol. The cam specs might change due to the Ported heads. I will be able to run a bigger cam with a 626 lift instead of 609. We'll defiantly see when we get the results up. Alot of this will be done in Caliboys garage lol. Str8 High class back yard mechanics here.
