I have rescheduled the meet and cruise for next weekend due to popular demand by the caford members. New date is this sunday, January 16th at 10am, Livermore Starbucks. Starbucks address is 2050 Portola Ave. Livermore, CA.

For everyone else, thanks for wanting to participate. This is my first cruise I am organizing so bare with me through the details. Here is the plan as follows pending rain or shine:
January 8th
10am
Livermore Starbucks
Cruise and then lunch.

I am planning on going to the track afterwards so if anyone wants to join me, I have one or two other cars coming along as well. RSVP and let me know how many cars are planning to come out. I dont want to leave anyone behind. Time has to stand where it is. Too many people complained it was too early at 8am. Sorry

It won't be in lafayette cause ur right there are no nice cruise areas around there...thats why im having it in livermore away from the lafayette police...think vineyards and the country roads around carnegie area.

ok i harassed my boss till he finally said yes. i just gotta make up my hours. he was so irritated with me lol. the only thing that will hold me back now is the weather. we better not get rained on or else i did all the nagging for nothing i'm pretty excited about this whole you vs me racing at the track thing!

the first time i went to the track. i was so nervous that i faulted and when the red light came on i didnt move....i just stood there cause i didnt know what to do!!

i looked like an IDIOT!! LOL

From tracy. Take 580 west get off on the North Livermore Offramp. Turn left onto North Livermore Ave. Go through 4 lights, you will see albertsons on the right. Pull in. Its next to blockbuster.


For others coming from Oak, SF, Hayward. 580 East into Livermore, Exit North Livermore, run right, follow above directions.

From Fremont, San Jose. Take Hwy. 84 East into Livermore. Turn Left onto Isabel Ave. Follow Isabel to Jack London Blvd. Turn Right. Follow Jack London all the way to Murrieta Blvd. Turn left onto Murrieta. Take Murrieta to Portola Blvd. Turn Right onto Portola. Take Portola down past 3 lights. You will see a bunch of Apartments on the left, after they end you will see Rockhouse Bar and Grill. (Kinda bida big shouldn't be able to miss it. Once you pass that there is a driveway on the left side of the road to enter the Albertsons Parking lot. Turn in. If you over shoot the driveway, the light in front of you is North Livermore Ave. just bust a U and turn into driveway on right. Starbucks is on the right.

Hello Mo,
Thank you and everyone else for showing all your active support for my cruise. Per requests I have been getting from members, the itinerary is as follows:
1000 Meeting for everyone at Starbucks
1100 Depart for cruise
1100-1200 Cruise in the Livermore Hills to Del Val(maps and directions will be distributed at Starbucks)
1200-1300 Arrive at picture location. Pictures to be taken of all cars that want to be in the 2005 calendar
1300 Depart for route that leads into Dublin
1400 Arrive at Hooters for lunch
1400-1500 Lunch at Hooters
1500 Depart back to Livermore Starbucks or head off to sac raceway (this is subject to change based on who is going to sac, who is going home, and who left their cars at Starbucks)

Please note, all times are estimates and will vary based on how long pictures take, cars in the cruise, and how fast (or slow) people eat. This is just a rough draft of what is to take place next weekend.
For the calendar, I will have a photographer out, that will be taking pictures of any and all domestic cars that want a 2005 calendar with their car in it. The plan is, after all pictures have been developed, participants in the cruise will have a chance to pick and choose which cars they want in their own personalized calendar. I will need to have a volunteer host the pictures on their site so everyone has access to viewing them and then send me their requests via private message through cafords or my email address: lilsatrn@aol.com

The plan to go to sac was not originally part of this meet. It was supposed to be for me and BlkPina to go up there and test out our cars for kicks. Do not worry about sac at this time. It is not part of this meet and will not affect the time schedule I have described above. Thanks

Hello Alice,
Plan if it rains is that the cruise part of the meet is cancelled. Whether people still want to meet up and go to lunch or not, I will leave up to you guys. My original plan was to cancel the whole event if it rains, but surprisingly enough, people still wanted to meet up for lunch and hang out. I figure that since I have the day off anyways, that could very well be possible if others want to do that as well. Post up guys and let me know what you think.

Also an updated list of who is going on the cruise is located on page 1 of this topic. Let me know if it is accurate and if I forgot to add anyone who might be attending this weekend.

I went on the planned cruise route last night with a couple of people and it needs to be altered to extend longer than what was origninally organized. As a result, I can not give exact directions online until the route is finalized. Don't worry, by saturday everything should have itself worked out. Just keep driving safe and keep checking online for the latest updates on the weather. I will post on saturday morning and late friday night if it looks bad for the cruise.

Ok guys I need some more feedback. I just got off the phone with a couple of printing presses that are willing to make our calendars. To put it mildly, calendars are going to cost each of you $30 out of pocket expense to achieve a personalized item with our photos of our rides in it. Before I go out of my way to make these calendars, I will need you all to let me know if you are willing to pay this amount for them or if each of you would like a blow-up poster of you car instead that is laminated and on glossy paper. I think you should cancel the whole thing if it rains. Alot of the nicer cars won't come out in the rain and it definately won't be the weather for pics. I wouldn't expect any sort of turn out with the rain. Just kick it off till next Sat if things don't look good tomorrow night.

Well we have had meet when it rains before, even have done cruises too. Basically I think she is saying, there won't be cruise or pics if its raining, but people will still be meeting up for coffee, then lunch at Hooters. Either way, not a total waste of a day.

The weather today is not looking good. I was hoping the clear skies from yesterday would carry into the weekend but its looking like the weatherman will be right.

I won't come if it's raining. And honestly, expect half of those that say they will come to show up. People underestimate waking up on a saturday and seeing crazy weather outside. This is horrible rain/storm/wind too. I would be ok with postponing till next Sat.

haha dj! no side shows for me ! could you even picture me at a side show? i had actually bought the car with 2 bad tires. the front driver's side tire is REALLY bad. if anything i need to replace that one. it wasn't me i swear!

Thank you to everyone who is "re" rsvp'ing for the event.
To Alice, I am sorry that you can't make it but pics should be submittted to Jon (isicgt) for upload by sunday night.

Just a general reminder for all interested in the calendar, there will be only ONE style of calendar made for purchase with twelve cars voted upon by caford members. The price is $30 as quoted by Kinko's. Pictures will be available for vote after the show and when Jon can get them uploaded on his site. (Thanks Jon) Details on how to vote and the procedure for voting will be posted later.

Remember, there is no guarantee that your car will be one of the chosen selections, so make sure your domestic is looking its best! But for those of you who are able to be present on the day of the show, you will appear on the front cover with everyone else that attended the event. I hope that this clears up some confusion.

The beginning part will be just driving straight to Del Valle for pictures which is about a 15 minute drive. After the pictures is where we get dirty

There is always a possibility of rain for this month but i still show cloudy but no rain for this sunday so until then, it is still happening. Thanks for checking up.

FYI If the weather website predicts rain by saturday night, you guys know the drill. Cruise is cancelled again and maybe indefinitely until our next show in February. You can only cancel so many times before it gets repetitive.

Every publication, news show, on-line weather thingy I've checked says cloudy at worst, several forecast clouds giving way to sun around noonish. No rain. Make it happen, I'll see ya next time.

Hey everyone,
The turnout today was more than I could ask for. I am proud to say that 30+ cars showed up this morning for the event. Thank you's to everyone that went on the cruise to Del Valle, stuck with us throughout the whole photo shoot, all the way past the cop who ruined it for us, and lunch at Hooters.

Special thanks to Team Foci, Team Legion, caford members 2000gtskip and friend,1990whitestang, 88gtcoupe, exchp, crazynorwegian and his friend, my friend steve, 1sicgt for helping with the photography, Frank from the Stallions who came by himself and untamed5.0 for being the other girl with me. Special thank you's also to Midnight5.0 for bringing both of his cars out, 1sicv8 for stopping by, aslowdodge for bringing the viper, camarokidz28 (but next time no burn outs please), all the camaro guys for hanging with the Fords, and anyone else who I met but I forgot ur name please do not take it personally. I appreciate everyone that participated in this. Overall I think it was great fun and lets do it again soon. Here are some pictures from the event for all you to see. Thanks again!

Yea I was surprised how many people turned out I had a good time and it was great the weather was good thanks to those who helped me with my car and pulled over with us who were worried nice meeting some new face good job to lauren for puttin everything together and handling everything hope we all get to do it again soon

Yea sorry about that again guys....I swear that I had it all planned for us to get into the park free but I guess unforsen circumstances got in the way...Too bad $5 an hour guy couldnt bend the rules just this once

Thanks again Nate for coming out...the cops showed up because some people decided to burn out along the roadway.As it turned out, a local sheriff ranger was watching and waiting for us to do something wrong and when that occured, he basically kicked us away from the park area after harassing everyone. It got better afterwards when we went to lunch.

Your welcome Skip for the pic! Thats not even all of them...u can guess how the others turned out. They'll be so awesome looking for the calendar, I can't wait!

Thanks again Melanie for coming out. I am so glad that you had a good time, so did i

FYI: Details on the voting website for the calendar will be posted later. I have to coordinate pics with Jon and everyone else that is contributing photos from this event.
