I can set one up over by Sacramento (something off of Hwy 49) if someone wanted me to, however if we are going to do a cruise here or in the bay area we should do soon before the rain comes [Wink]

Everyone would have to pay a gate fee. There are lots of places around livermore to do one. If you guys want to do one around here let me know.

Hi Caford members, the name is Dean, never had a chance to introduce my self, i joined cafords around July04, i have 2 of my friends that is active here Force331 and Hidnnos. Well i bought my first Mustang around June 2004, its a 92LX 5.0
Fox body, Hatchback. i bought this car from my friend Don (hidnnos), never had a problem, very healthy engine, and very good condition, well im still learning more about this car. [Wink]

Well enough of this, Im from the North bay, im down for the caford cruise, let me know when and where and what time. [Smile]

Well how much interest is there? We got great backroads all around us. Depending on how many people are interested, would decide the route.

I'll be there as long as the date isn't the 23rd/24th of Oct, or the 6th/7th of Nov. I'll be bringing my car home from the body shop this Monday and I want to take her out on them backroads in the worst way! [Big Grin]

lets pic a place on highway 1 i know this perfect huge parkin lot right off the highway. heading towards santa cruz thats perfect. its abou the size of the parkin lot at hayward. nice view and a couple of grills. we can cruize on hwy 17 thats a good speedy curvey highway [burnout]

We actually do, every spring. We meet in Pillar Point, off HWY. 1 and 92.

Ok, just ironing out the last details, but I think we are aiming for Oct. 30th, Saturday maybe around 10am, leave for cruise around 11am. Location probably Livermore. Will get final details in a day or two.

No, we don't do Patterson anymore, since there is alot of loose gravel, and some people with Drag Radials fling rocks at people. Lot of angry mustangers last time. I got a route already planned.

I have sticky tires and have told people not to tailgate me because rocks can fly up, but a lot of them still tailgate anyways.
I think on a twisty road if you're getting gravel kicked up at you, you're following too closely. Last time I went patterson pass it wasn't too bad. If you're thinking heading up Mt hamilton, that has a lot of gravel. Plus the cops up there love to harrass performance cars

Downfall to evening cruises, say if it gets dark, and we are out on a twisty road, some people may not know where the corners are. It could get ugly. [Eek!]

Is that what I get for chiming in? Heh. Pm or email and I will be glad to discuss what you are looking for. I have never been big into such events since racing at them gets you into trouble...

It would be an AWESOME drive. Bunchmyfunky has a great video of a couple of stangs rolling thru the twisties on tht route.

Jon I can make the Oct 30th if i'm not working a 24 hour shift that day at the station. That next day is my birthday.
