We will be meeting at Pillar Point Harbor at 11:00, the address is:
One Johnson Pier
Half Moon Bay, CA 94019
Or here are the directions:
From the South or East Bays, take Highways 101, 280, or 880 to Highway 92 West. Turn right (North) on Highway 1 in Half Moon Bay. Turn left (West) on Capistrano Road (signal light four miles North of Half Moon Bay). Take the first left into Pillar Point Harbor.
From the North Bay, take Highway 1 South seven miles past Pacifica. Turn right (West) on Capistrano Road, and take the first left into Pillar Point Harbor.
Here is the web site for the harbor:
http://www.smharbor.com/pillarpoint/ppcontact.htm
We will leave for the cruise at 12 noon sharp. If you want to get there earlier, please try to save some spots for the rest of us, and don't ruin it by doing anything stupid. Thanks

If this is going to be anything like that Santa Cruz CRUISE count me in. That was the best one yet, when are you going to do that again? There was at least 50 mustangs going through Hwy. 17 and we all met up at the Boardwalk. You have to have another one of those this summer. Brian are you going to be taking out the Saleen for the cruise or flying see you there

I would love to go to a meeting, but being in OKC is not helping. I arrive on the 29th, so I figured by having a cruise would be a great way to do it. Hope to see you and your club there

Oh shit, just checked the calander and the wedding I have to go to is that day, but doesn't start until 6 pm in the Oakland hills. I'll probably make it out there and hope to be in the '65 if I stay on schedule.

A suggestion to all who is going to the get together and cruise in Half Moon Bay...Get an FRS Radio! They're very cheap now for a pair of them, and even now, they're selling FRS / GMRS dual mode radios. It will be great to keep in touch with everyone when we're on the road, especially since I don't have a cellphone, and i'm sure a few others don't. What's nice is they're great for those times that someone really needs to pull over or somethin' or someone breaks down.
Anyway, that's what I suggest.

Great Idea. If you want to bring some extra radios, I will take one. It is really hard to stop when you have 60 cars. We will make a couple of stops along the way.

Yeah, Motorola TalkAbouts are one type, Cobra and other companies make FRS radios too. They're really down in price for a pair of them, from like Walmart, Fry's, Costco, Best Buy, etc.
Try2Paz - I will bring both of my radios, or all 4 if I can round them up. I have a pair of Cobra's and a pair of older TalkAbouts.

The cruise will be 45 minutes to 1 hour. We will decide where we want to go at the start. Either end up in Santa Cruz or Los Gatos.

To be determined. When we meet up, we will find out where everyone wants to go.

it was pretty intense, everyone at the toll both(92 bridge) raced out of there like a bat outta hell, when we got over the top of the bridge we started comming down, 2 chp came behind all of us,then pulled that swerve move so everyone had too slow down, then he got the five front cars and pulled them all over! so some of us got thier alittle late!
Posted by rebel (Member # 3305) on
:
a little late ?!?! try an hour and a half late lol!! but that person with the "stolen car" didnt steal it, it was their's, the cops pulled the "stolen car" card just so they could pull him over and try and find something illegal, since their doughnut break was over or something.

Hell, between that blue gt, and brian rollin hard, and everyone else layin them down, I'm suprised more didn't come of it. Oh well...all in good fun I guess.
Thanks to wendi for calling me with the warning ahead of time, because chances are I wouldn't be typing here right now with the plans I had

were you the girl that got the ticket for tint in HMB?. You drove by me getting on 85 were everyone started going different directions. I wasn't sure who to follow because I wasn't sure who was going home and who was going to Chili's
At Alice's I could have swore Brian said Chili's in Los Gatos. Then when we got to Saratoga and went towards san jose on saratoga Rd opposite direction of Los Gatos. Then when they got on 85 and the group got split up again I had no idea where they had changed plans to and everyone was scattered.
Drove for a while and met up with the 2nd red supra so we just went to a brewery and ate. Interesting guy-he has many streetracing stories at 150,mph

Yeah, I followed 9Cobra8 and Nick in the lead, the black Cobra 'vert and the silver GT, and realized we were going the wrong way. I saw everyone else heading south 280?? and I couldn't find any Los Gatos Chili's...I gave up finally around 4:00pm and headed back up to Milpitas to watch 'The Rundown' with The Rock.
Oh well, maybe by the next meet, I'll have a cell phone with Try2Paz's phone number in it.

I still had a blast of a time today! It was hilarious, but also a little scary, watching the CHP on 92 running the traffic break to pull a bunch of y'all over.
Plus, I thought I was gonna have to give up this morning. On our way from Fremont to the San Mateo bridge, I got stuck in a 'wolf pack' of cars on the freeway, and saw everyone getting off on Durham, I thought I was screwed, so I went one exit up to Mission, over to 880 North and hauled ass up the freeway. I passed Auto Mall, didn't see anyone, so I figured I'd go up to 92 and wait at Clawiter. Sure enough, about 5 minutes after I got there, I saw everyone rolling down the freeway, so I was saved.
I should have brought my FRS Radios, but I had no time, this morning, too, I locked my keys in my car. so I had to hurry to meet my buddy.
Anyway, I had a lot of fun, maybe Brian can hold the next Show & Shine back at Dave & Buster's?

Yeah, that was pretty fuckin messed up. we drove up from monterey, an we're all starvin, so we go get food, and as we're waitin for the last guy to get his food, you guys leave. You knew we where there, we met you at the gas station and at the meet! Its not like we went to get a 3 course meal, we were hungry and needed to eat something. I just think you coulda waited 7 or 8 minutes more. Every cruise I've been on with you guys has always started later for some reason or another, and its not a big deal. Sawson way to NOT take a picture of the most impressive engine at the show. But that's cool because at least you got a picture of all the factory GTs and Cobras from multiple angles.

I just think you coulda waited 7 or 8 minutes more. Every cruise I've been on with you guys has always started later for some reason or another, and its not a big deal. So for you guys to straight leave us is just fucked up.
I had no idea you guys where over there. No one told me shit. We decided that we were going to stop half way through the cruise at Alices.
Sorry for the misconception.
shit happens i guess. we still had a good day, but we do wish we had gone with you guys. confusion can be a asskicker. oh well...the past is the past, and next time is in the future. did anything bad happen to you guys on the cruise? hope not... i will post the pics of the event shortly.
-marek
Yeah thats true, no sense in bein mad about it. Oh, Brian, dude, I said HI to you man! Haha.

Guessing you guys were the ten or so cars in the far corner. Same thing happened to us, but we didn't want to go on the cruise anyways, but no one knew that. You guys have some organizing to do! If not, you loose participants.

Well it is unfortunate that you guys got left behind-but I think you need to look at the whole situation. Could Brian have been a little more thorough in making sure everyone was ready to leave? Sure-in hindsight. I'm sure after this he will.
The big thing is that you seem to take it personally as if Brian went out of his way to sneak off without you guys and that is not the case. If he did, I could see being very angry. But in this case it was just an oversite that will be made sure the same mistake is not made twice. So yes it was unfortunate for you guess, but keep in mind it wasn't intentional.

Totally.

Nothing being taken personally, just letting Brian know that he made a mistake and to try to fix it for next time. He didn't try to sneek out, but he also didn't wait when he saw everyone wasn't leaving. No hard feelings, I'm sure he'll take care of it next time.
Though Sawson still didn't take a picture of the most impressive engine there. Not mine but my close friends, simply because of personal problems with him. That was done intentionally!

Harold's car has the most horsepower and was the fastest one there.

Yeah, well said Kevin. Everyone knows us Ford guys stick together and help eachother out. Sounds like there was just some miscommunication that happened, which is completely understandable in a large group of people.
Speaking up at the time of the event or privately contacting those envolved afterwards and pointing out the problem and suggesting solutions would have been the proper and progressive thing to do. Making a fake account and throwing needless insults 24 hours afterwards is the immature, nonprogressive and unconstructive thing to do. No one gains using this method. These events are fun. They're designed to be fun. Lets keep the fun spirit alive

Thanks to Teddy for invitin' me out and the rest of y'all for lettin' me roll with you guys, it was pretty damn cool. => Between the whiny superchargers and the exhaust setups, it sounded like a day at the track.

Except when he is running 91 octane, then he's owned by me! MMMMmmmmuuuuuhhaahaaaaaa
Seriously -Harold's car is incredible and well done. When he's on race gas I don't think anyone there that day could beat him up to 150mph

Mr. Paintjob was there and I would say he could beat them to 150 and probably to 190 (o/d). He ran low 11s untuned at the track. When he gets it tuned who knows, but he has a timeslip for 11.12 at 123. I think his car was the fastest one there, though I could be wrong.

Random acts of kindness should be exposed. That was cool to whoever payed. I owe you one.
That was cool of the person to pay for a bunch of people. That's a CAFORDS_LOVER right there
I am just glad I didn't need the money to pay for a speeding ticket on the bridge

Just some randome musings to throw out here.
Okay, the CHP having to run a traffic break on 92 was pretty embarassing, while I wasn't caught in it because I was behind Matt (9Cobra8), to see it happen and hear about it wasn't all great.
I think we all could ahave been a bit more civilized on the freeways, after all, a friend of mine pointed out that it's *much* more impressive watching a whole line of nice Mustangs all running down the freeway or surface roads. (The surface roads seemed to go well, especially on 92 back to 35, and on 35 as well). Sure we all got fast, powerful cars, and we'd love to show them off, but save that for the show & shine. We're all adults here, revving is one thing, taking off like a bat out of hell from the tollbooths was another...
Brian, you're a great cruise leader, I think next time, we should all just stick together, and show off in a big line of cars all cruising down the road and freeway like the old hot rods do.
As for the lunch thing, I'm sure it was all a mistake that a bunch of people made, not just Brian, I'm pretty sure he didn't mean to leave everyone in the dust, I think he was just thinking of stopping up there to take a cruise break and bathroom break from driving up Skyline. Oh well, C'est la vie.
I'm sure we'll have a more definate and pretty set plan for lunch on our next Show & Shine cruise, and if anyone wants to eat elsewhere, then they're free to, just don't bitch at the rest of us.
So...those are my thoughts, you're free to agree, add to this, or berate me, I don't care.
See you in a couple weeks, all!
(Also will be posting this on the Foster's Freeze show topic.)

Whoops, forgot about the dual power adder mopar there It should be a good run from a roll between you two since Harold has the advantage from a stop. His 4.6L ran 127mph with the stock motor+blower with only octane booster and 91 octane though.

Now that harold has the ol auto and I still row my own(quite badly I might add) if Harold hooks. He would take me off the line. My only hope is he would run 91 as he said he has about 450 rwhp or so. On 91 I probably am at about 575 to 580. I have not tried race gas yet but with only 5 psi I doubt I could get much more than 620 with advance timing. Also my launching is real hard as full boost is at 2000 rpm so unless I have my et streets on I will have a hard time modulating traction at launch. I think the centrifical is really nice for street as there is not much on the bottom meaning fairly good traction with big power as you start to move.
Still if Harold dials it up to the 670rwhp or so it will be tough to beat. I would have to spray to keep up with him.
I might take him on a roll on street tires if we went to 150 as aerodynamics would help me. Plus I know when Harold taps the gas on 91 octane he breaks loose and swing out some. Once I am going over 20 my car doesn't spin the tires through any of the gears. it just hooks and goes straight all the way up.
In my opinion with race gas and racing tires I still think Harolds car was the quickest out there for drag racing. Low 10's for sure. maybe 9's.

crazy mustang guys I was just driving down the road when i saw a steady blur of mustangs going by. Was cool to meet up with everyone! I thought the supercharged to non supercharged ratio among the mustangs was rather impressive!!
