Hey the show was cool and all but.... hey what was up with the all the vortec superchargers??? AND didn't know that stock GTs in the B class would win...guess its who ya know !!!!! So maybe ill get rid of all my mods and next year i might get a chance at winning.

Jimmy your car was on of the baddest superchargered cars, and it is very original, but when large car groups show up they are going to vote for there friends, thats just how it works, when Sac mustang have there car shows, nobody from out of town wins there eather, we just went to represent, support the site, and have a good time, mission accomplished, so quit BITCHIN,

yea seriously. Maybe i should just throw this Dugan racing book away that my car was in. Strip the car of all its parts and put it back to stock. We will both do it Jimmy. And next year we will place 1st and 2nd. But not 98ponygal cause she will have a Cobra R hood, not stock enough.

Dude, what because I am not supercharged I don't desrve the win??? Is that what you are trying to say? My car is being built up all n/a. I will never strap a s/c on it. So what a built n/a won't deserve a win??? I didn't think I had a chance personally, comparing since the entire b class, besides me was s/c. And it's not really who you know, I was going for who had what, rearity, what made it stand out from the rest. Too me, you can see any s/c stang on the road. What makes it stand aside from the rest is what counts.

Yeah, but it didn't hurt that you had 11 people from the sic crew that quite possibly voted for your car due to favortism.

I'm not involved in this whole argument, I didn't have a car that I expected people to even look at, let alone get any votes. I'm just agreeing with what some of the other people are complaining about.

Ok, first of all, you claiming that all of my crew voting for me could possibly win it for me, doesn't add up. Ok, if all 11 did vote for me, then there were 50+ entries to the show. Thats means there were still 40+ other votes to be givin out. SO you had 40 chances to out vote me right??? So your math saying that we could force a win, is BS. Second, on the S/C thing. Ok I saw for sure 3 black stang, a red one, and a purple stang in the B class that were charged, so saying that there were only 2, that again is . So that leaves me now with a thought. So if you think first my car is stock, you are wrong. Also like I said, just becuase you s/c, it doesn't make it special. Its another bolt-on. Not trying to be a hater, but you guys sound like kids crying over a toy. Boo-who! If it's that big of a deal you can have the award! I didn't expect to win at all, you can ask all the people that know me. I just go to every show for the fun of it. And if this is how is ends, I don't want to go to another one of these. In my opinion this topic is BS.

I have to agree with 1sicstang.

Just because others have s/c. doesnt mean that you have top honers to win..

people were not just voting on who had the best looking engine bay....

rims, paint, interior and other things make a winner, not just cause one car has a s/c mean there going to win.

just my .02...... well ok first i thought this was a Car Show, therefore, has to do with looks and rarity of a car... not ho wmuch Hp it uts out and whatnot...... i mean yea Sc's are cool, maybe looks cool...... but it does nothing when it sits there, maybe looks cool if its posilehd or somethn......

and as far as the sic crew having a advantage, thats fuckn Bs if i ever heard it... Its not like u didnt have friends there to support your car, and well to be honest, if my friends and i are that much into cars to were we all have stangs or whatever the car maybe..... we take pride in our cars and made them look nice.....

i think jon desvered every bit of recognition for his award....... i didit see any other stangs there his color... maybe cuz its 1 of 1500 made.... and if that isnt rare wtf is it?.....

i just think u all are being big fuckn babies here and need to grow the fuck up, iuts just a fuckn show.. and if ur that upset, why dont u fuckn put some time and money into your car, so that next year u might win.

There were 60+ Ballots counted on Saturday afternoon, and whilst there may have been some tactical voting by some people, at the end of the day the results are representative of the people that entered.

Some classes had some clear winners by a mile, other classes it was really very close.

When you have offical judging you have consistancy in comparing all vehicles in a class. When you have Peer voting, you have peoples individual tastes to please.

Well done to everyone that entered and supported 98Cobra.com. A lot of effort went into organising the event for you.

Send your feedback by PM to Brian, Gabe, Matt or Sawson. I am sure they will be interested to hear your constructive comments.

Remember this, for a First Show, I think it was great, its going to be hard to top it !

Dude...If you are soooo butt hurt go see a therapist! Damn, I know guys tend to get jealous but you whine like a ten year old girl. The Sic Crew had 11 entries out of 60+ voters. Hmmmm...my math is a little rusty but thats 49+ other votes. If your car was that special it should have won easily. But your rims look like Blue Light specials from KMART! Think about what "show" means, it has nothing to do with how quick it gets down the track. It matters how pretty it is, which helps if you dont see the color everywhere. As I undersdand there were roughly 1500 of that color made. If you had a mistic paint job on your car you would be damn proud of it! If you want a cheesy plastic trophy that bad I'll make you one. I'll even engrave it to say " WHINEY ASS BITCH"! You got the most votes (guess the sic crew stuffed the ballot box again! )

OK, 88GT towards you. Your car is clean, but I can see why people didn't vote for you. The rims look like walmart specials. Sorry, but its true. The car is tight till you look down. Get some rims, detail your motor, then win an award. Ok, Jared took 2nd, becuase he has a brand new paint job, highly detailed his motor and the rest of his car, and even custom fab'd a new intake plaque. He spent lots of money and time making it look good. So don't hate on him. At least he put effort into making his look good.

Next, I don't care what you think of my car. You don't have to like it, thats up to you. But more than 11 must have if I won. Also I don't care if I win, never expected too. I may have spent along time detailing all nooks and crannies of my car, but it means nothing. And my profile on my page isn't current by the way. I am building the car n/a then once thats done, I may do a TDC kit. As far as motor work being done to my car, ask Chuck, he knows whats up. Ok, if you don't think I won fairly. Then fine, I want a re-count! Thats right, lets see just how the votes leaned. Then we will know who won what.

Ladies...calm down. Look, like UKCobra said, in a peer judged show, you have individual tastes that have to be pleased in order to win. As far as the rims comment...those are Roush wheels. You have a problem with those, then don't buy them(if you can find them, that is).

I do however agree with the posts made by others(I can't go back and quote them all). I think that their are a few cars that had better paint, more work, more under the hood, etc that I should have taken a placement. But WHO CARES!!! The judging is over. The show is over. There will be others. And while I think some people didn't get an award that should have, there were damn nice cars there, so someone had to lose.

The most important question to answer is: Did you have a good time? If you did, then be happy because you went to the show for the rght reason.

There is no need for a recount, the results won't change. There was no issue with first and second place in that group, Jon was a clear winner.

The results were reviewed by Matt, Gabe, Brian and Sawson.

The best thing to do is get someone else to look at your car to point out what needs work.

I saw some great cars with dirty engines. I saw cars with some mods that had been finished badly. These things make ME walk away.

Each of us like different things and vote accordingly.

Lets stop the posts, and take an objective look at our cars and see what we can improve.

I agree with UK. Its all in how its detailed. If it looks like you washed the car minutes before it won't win, not saying you did. But when you spend lots of time getting into every detail of a car, just to make it look good. It does show. My $.02

EVERYONE: All of this is really counterproductive. This was our first show so it is all new to us..The judging was done by all parties that entered the show. There will not be a recount of anything as we were very careful to count and tally everything up carefully.. I read the votes and UKCOBRA tallied them up and there is no favoritism on our part. if anyone has idea's on how to better run the next 98COBRA show IM all ears..Please email me your ideas to GABRIEL@98COBRA.COM

people voted for who they wanted to vote for and its over and the winners are set. i am happy i didnt think i was goin to go home with anything but i did my section wasnt big but i won the award thanx i am happy and i got my first trophy out of it. that means a lot to me. to me its what makes ur car stand out the most in a car show, its more the car to me than the motor, if it was a drag contest then yes i can see who wood win but its about the looks, i voted for what cars i thought looked good and stood out from the rest. if i had a choice between jons car, a saleen clone or real saleen, or whatever i wood have chose jons not jsut becuz hes my friend and part of the same crew, but how different his car is, unique color and how often u see 18 in 95 cobra rs? thats why. thats cool that u spent a lot of money on ur motor and what not, to me a car show is about looks.oh for the rousch rims comment about try to find them i see them all the time in mm&ff in the for sale sections, if u like them fine but ill passs
and yes im in the sic crew so make ur comments if ya want, we all have nice cars and we all love our cars and take time on our cars, but there was only 11 of us that voted, its over until the next time we will see who wins......

Jons car is far from stock smartass. It's lowered it has 18 inch cobra's it has hella suspension work done to it, it's ready to have it's 8pt roll cage installed it was clean as F*#K I love his car.

LMFAO....hahahahahaha.... wow.... ok im not gunna take sides... personally i think sic crew had a huge influence... personally i think the 1st place stang was clean... and u guys werent the only ones cleaning ur cars all night... sac. pple had a 2 hours drive... (maybe next show be between bay and sac?)and theres alotta bugs on the way, and blown tires jimmies car was off the hook, and to say his car wasnt clean or done up is total bullshit... it was clean as hell and the engine bay did look nice.... as for the dugan.. im sure ill see more autmn orange stangs then dugans... and its not about the trophy, its about the feeling to win... the pride...

on a + note, even though it was just a bunch of stang i enjoyed it, and am lookin forward to the next cruise well thats my post ... peace

Not everyone sets their car up for drag racing
Jon's car is getting set up for rally racing which is funner then going in a straight line to see who's car is faster. You gotta have skills to road race. And he's run faster than 14.9 he and I
both cant run for shit at sears and everone knows why, the cement launch pad is shitty on street tires not to mention the fact he had 18's on while he was running. My car did a 14.4 consitantly their when it did a 14.1 at sac with tires spinning. I think your just a bunch of B.S. and someone needs to shuv a bottle in your mouth.

1sicgt - I never said anything negative about your car or jarads, and I never mentioned names in my post either. Thanks for the Walmart wheels comment. That was big of you. Also, did my engine look dirty? Thats amazing you saw it because I never opened my hood the whole show you. I didnt see anyone else there with a stormin normin hood so I left it down because thats part of what makes my car unique. I think my car is pretty damn unique, you dont see many people with the same amount of body work and CUSTOM metallic blue paint. Please send me pictures when you find one like it. I guess maybe next year i should buy a bunch of cute little blue plastic wire covers and use an excessive amount of them all over my nearly bone stock engine. That would look really cute. Then if I get really motivated i'll create the most ghetto rear seat delete kit ever and that should launch me into a trophy place. Maybe some tailight covers that don't match the rest of paint!!!
I think everyone knows that the engine is a big part of the judging. Why do you think Harold and Dean keep winning awards? Their cars look sick, but their engines are sweet. Same thing with John. I'm sure he got first because he has a 9 second motor, not because he has a stock looking car. I dont understand why you talk about your suspension and the roll bar you dont even have yet. I thought it was looks only? At least be consistent in your arguements people.

Your all jelous over a walmart trophy! It wasn't about winning and when are you all gunna get that through you head! It was about being there with friends and family and your beautiful cars! I loved all of your cars! Not just the ones in the sic crew. I only voted for Jons cause you see a supercharger on everything and I know how hard he worked all night to make his car look beautiful! And for your information the rear seat delete kit is't installed yet! And I voted for Jarods Cause he just spent hella money to get his car intirely re painted! John (9 sec one) wasn't even there yet when I put my votes in. If he was I didn't see him and I would have voted for him cause his car is tight. He won first place anyway. So no one can say Jarod won cause of the sic crew cause he got third. Anyway all I'm trying to say is stop talking so much shit. Todd won Second cause there was only 3 or 4 cars in his division. And his car looks good with the rims and painted break calipers and all the wireing and hose covers. And noone in our crew has taillights that don't match the color of their car. Everyone has stock tail lights. Except Jarod who has LX tail lights but they don't have any color on them. So I don't know who your talking about there. Any way QUIT being babies you lost go home try agin next year and stop wining about all this. Can't we all just get along????
