Hey All,

I just wanted to see who was attending this event this year. I feel that this is the best event that Sac has and I always have a great time.

For the first time I will be on the Chevy side in a C6 Z06 but I can't wait to see some fast fast fords pair up vs the Chevy guys.

When Saturday, July 30, 2011

WhereSacramento Raceway Park

Description CMI's 3rd Annual Chevy VS. Ford Drag Race. Open to all Chevys and Fords cars and trucks with Chevy or Ford Bodied or powered.

Gates Open: 4:00 PM
Time Trials: 5:00 PM
Eliminations: 7:00 PM
Pit Admission: $15 per person
Pit Parking: no charge
Race Entry: $40 car and driver

You got 2 guys coming up from so cal. me from pasadena (single carb sbf) and todd hoffman from san diego (427 FE with Hilborns)to come run against the bowtie crowd. we got old school a/fx cars that are both on the motor and both run mid 9's with 10.5" tires, leaf springs, etc

We're gonna meet up with a couple other nostalgia ford guys from Dixon and look forward to putting on a show.

It was just sad to see that the imports were the fastest cars there, a bunch of 8 and 9 second imports doing 160mph and very few quick V8s there.

I was a pretty cool night.. It was nice to finally meet 1raw93svt.. Cool dude.. Alot of cool cars, just wish more mustangs and camaros were there.. But man, them guys brought the heat tonite, i was embaressed to take mine down the strip.. My goal for next year is to be running low 12s, high 11s..

Did you run a 10.2 that run? I got smoke by a black 03 and I was pretty sure it was you.

I honestly was disappointed that more cars didn't show.

My best friend was the guy that did the half track burnout and he ended up getting a runner up trophy and $100 bucks. But....... He cheated!!!!! I was the one that followed the rules and that's what u get for following the rules.

Who had the white notch with the 11.60 dial in? I liked that car alot.
