I toke the car out last night to Infineon...Man was it windy/cold
The Setups a 2006 Mustang Gt With A full road race setup Novi 2200,Custom Griggs racing fuel system/Griggs racing tune,Comp cams stage two cams/Full suspension...Still on factory headers/cats tho
Got a chance to make two passes
First one was 1.89 60ft, 7.7 1/8 mile 11.91/118.9 mph shifting at 6100 rpm (redlines set at 6600 rpm,,but the car was over powering the 275 road race tires already)
Second pass i had the car come out sideways in second/thirds gears..so i lifted and ran a 13.5@112
John Griggs knows how to tune them..next up maybe some drag tires and shifting at redline

Congrats on the 11's! Thats a pretty good 60ft time for a car launching on road race suspension.
How much power are you puting out?

Thanks...
I was on 93 octane last night..that would put the car in the about 470 rwhp range at redline..however i was short shifting it..so it was more like 430 rwhp.

Stock bottom end? If so I'd be short shifting too! 470 rwhp and stock shortblock is a ticking time bomb.

The car has three different tunes..ranging from about 440rwhp to something around 480+rwhp...on 100 octane.
The reason i was short shifting was because of wheel spin/track conditions.
I think Griggs has been running their cars at this power level (450-460 rwhp) and has thousands of mile @ the track without a engine failure yet.
I do agree the mid/high 400 rwhp is pushing it tho..so i'm prepared for what could happen.

Welcome to the club!
I went out for the first time since I had my motor built and ran 11.7 @ 122.
Plenty of room for improvement on my part. It's nice to have another S197 here.
