but 13.4 got every gear, and 2.2 60'

and i dropped it off at josh's shop today.

and when it comes out itll have an off road X, bassani CB, and most likley a SPEC 2 and aluminum flywheel....and i just put the JLT CAI on. 4.10's and pulleys to follow!

For the money they spent to buy that car. I would of bought an C6Z06. The highest time I ever seen one of those run is a 12.5 bad driver but still not a 13.7 or 13.5 those are pigs.

dude!, there are ALOT of factors which affect the times of a car.....traction, track itself, missing a gear, weather, driver, hella shit! i seen vettes run 14's and at fastest 13's and yes most of these were c5 zo6's no reason to bag on a gt500, race one on the street and see what happens

just like to say i've seen gt500's run in the high side of 11's at the track it comes down to driving.....5.0 mustang in july06 ran one stock at the track it ran a 114 trap speed didn't give a time but jan 07 a moded one (air box, 2.6 pulley, tune,magna flow exhaust, lower control arms) with 305 dr's it still spun bad with et streets 275's it ran 11.36 @ 124.35 needless to say if u can hook up 10's is possible with boltons
just my .02 i'd rather have one of these then a zo6 any day

and on another note.... the Z06 weighs like 800 or 900lbs less than the Shelby and has the same HP of course it would be faster stock..... but that car is tuned to the edge to make 500 n/a HP anyone see that Ford GT on stage six motorsports website??? that is a good car to pit against a Z06 I mean if... you guys wanna call a Z06 a supercar then a Ford GT is one also and much more comparably priced than the S7 I believe currently that car has over 1500 rwhp and is driven on the street daily!!! any vette's out there like that? if so show it to me.... otherwise STFU

I think you guys are forgetting something, the GT500 weighs almost 4000 lbs. Thats right 2 TONS of Mustang. You divide the weight by the horses and you get 8lbs for every 1 horsepower (roughly). If you look at the 07 Z06 specs you will find that it weighs about 3100 lbs and claims 505 horses, 3100 / 505 = 6.14 lbs per hp. The Corvette is gonna outperform the GT500 in just about every category except number of passengers!

BTW, I am a FORD guy but I do understand power to weight ratios!

thank you so much for saying that, I already stated the weight difference was 800 or 900lbs... and that was the only difference, I don't understand how someone could swap from a Cobra to a GM it's just wrong.... it's like boxers or tightey whiteys.... u choose one and stick with it.... btw... the Shelby = boxers... and the tightey whiteys = the vette since usually old white guys in a mid life crisis buy them!!! hahahaha

Jeff S. has a 06 Z0...KN FIPK and he tuned it. on the stock tires...he was going 11.40's i think....

I hate those f'n ZO6's. Not because it is a Chevy, but because the damn things are so fast. Any bastard with money, and there seem to be quite a few around here, can go out and buy a car off the showroom floor that will trap the same speed as I do after working my ass off spending a ton of time to get my car where it is today. I ran 123.7mph on my Nittos but the car was running lean. Once I upgrade injectors and get it tuned right I will be at 125mph. Most guys I see at the track with the ZO6's don't get as good of an ET as they should, so I will have fun beating them down the track. I don't have a cage, so I am stuck at 11.50. I ran 11.74 last time, so when I learn how to launch on the Nitto's I will be as quick as I can be without a cage. Currently I dropped the boost to 7psi and am going to run my ET street bias ply's. That should hit 11.50 @ 118mph and be consistent.

Last time I went to the track I did something a ZO6 can't do. I did 123.7mph with a car seat in the back!! I took my 4yr old daughter to the track with me. Of course she was not in the car when I was racing, but she had fun watching from the tower.

i will then be trading it in for an 03-04 or an 01-02 Z06.

There was a GT500 @ Sears Point last Weds. It ran a 11.51 @ 127 on the brakes. They told him 11.49 and he would be done for the night. After making a crappy 1st test pass @ 11.70, he was on the brakes at the end every time. The car was on 275 DRs and it would torch them over a 2k launch.
