Was just wondering if they allow you to use your own VHT to spray down the start and maybe first few feet out.

This is mainly in regards to Sac Raceway TNT's.

I would call the track up and ask them. I myself wouldn't see any problem with it. I would think as long as it is the same stuff they use it should go down just fine. I have seen guys spray it directly onto their tires before.

Most of the time sac raceway is stuck.If you dont hook there something is wrong.

im not sure how jr. would take it if you just went up and started spraying stuff on the track, go talk to him first or he might go off on you and you don't want that. if you don't know who dave jr. is just ask around first, he'd usualy teching and pulling lanes for test n tunes, he runs the test n tunes

lol...i would never insult them by doing that...

I do believe i know of Dave Jr. and would def. ask his permission first.

I was just wondering as it's not like i have some 1000+ HP monster that needs it [Eek!]

There have been times at prior TNT's where i wish i could have had someone spray a bit down before my run.

I'll leave it up to the guys running the track.

VHT reacts to heat. If you just spray some down on cold asphalt and then run over the top of it, you are going to spin worse than if you just left it alone.

With that said, the best time to run is right after a few big boys have run some 7-8 second passes ahead of you. [burnout]

Been doing that since i can remember.....matter of fact.....i think my quickest 60's have come after running behind some of the AED cars [worship]
