I will be there although I havent drag raced a stang in 3 years.Just got the 75 shot done and it should be fun. Looking for low 12's! See you all out there!

10 to 1, Lee will not go [Razz]

It's 32 degrees, clear, & sunny at the track right now.
The density altitude at the moment is 2100ft below sea level. [Eek!]

Expect the worst air to be 1000+ft below sea level today. [Big Grin]

Hopefully the track will hook.

Good luck everyone!

Wish I wasn't 450 miles away. [Frown]

Sup yall! What were the results?

Posted by SmokinLX (Member # 1684) on :

My best was an 11.05. Blew a headgasket also. [Eek!]

Posted by 9cobrasnake9 (Member # 575) on :

Best time of the day was a 12.983 @ 108.61 on motor and 12.44 @ 114.78 on the 75 shot with no tuning. Sixty foots were both in the 1.8's. Damn I had fun running a Stang again. It was good to be back!

Posted by 93PONY (Member # 60) on :

I managed consistant 10.30's with a best of 10.34 @132.5mph.
Couldn't get boost up above 12psi....but with the new tires it's 2 tenths better than the last time I was running 12psi....so I can't complain. [Smile]
Should be some good pics....I'll see if I can get some up.

For some strange reason, my car had problems with tire shake and could never get the car to make a complete pass. I need to check the plugs to make sure the ground straps are still there due to spraying without the nutrous pump on. I also found a few plug wires with torn jackets cause the seperators are too small.

On a much brighter note, I didn't hurt the car (fingers crossed), and the weather was the best.

Don, I was there. I did 12.2 @ 125, 2.0 60 ft, with no burn out in the right lane, 11.74 @ 114, 1.7 60 ft, in the left lane. I think the left lane had something wrong the MPH recording. I think not bad considering I havent been at the track in over 5 years. But the After Track event was a blast.

Buddy......that thing will go faster than 10.20's once it's dialed in a bit more. Chuck got some AWESOME pics of your car with the tires sky high.
I don't think you're going to need that 200 shot you had planned on. LOL

CHUCK!!! post up the pics!!!

200 shot is completly outta the question...lol. Not without wheelie bars anyway [Eek!]

I made one run in the right lane and my mph went up 4 miles an hour. I was trippin a bit, glad someone else noticed.

Lee, good to hear. You always seem too busy for ANYTHING so I would have bet a lot you wouldn't have gone. Hope to see you out there some time!

[Cool] pics.

Looks like you guys had a good time after the races .......now who took home the bowling trophy [Big Grin]

Couple ?'s was that Sean's new white EVO? and how did the AED Blue vert. Cobra do? Any deeper in the 10's

Sounds like they still haven't calibrated the RT lane mph [Confused]

I think the bowling trophy goes to Jeff S., if he remembers. Yeah that was Sean04's new EVO, running 11.90s, not bad at all.

i heard the vert ran 10.9xs. AaronC actually got the highest score but Jeff wins for "elegance" if there is such a category.

Jim, the owner of the car was racing it all day. He said he couldn't get the thing to hook at all, but those pics Chuck took make it seem like it was hooking pretty well. [Eek!] Anyway, his best was a 10.99 @ 130. The car burnt up another belt and needs a tune up. It will be out in a few weeks, although I'm not sure if there is more in it than the 10.7 that it has already gone. [burnout]

Those are some great pics. I appreciate you getting in a few of my car (Black GT). Hope to get the nitrous system working and see what the car is really capable of doing.

Thanks
