Sounds like there will be a decent attendance from cafords. I am not sure if I will be racing or not. Most likly the street class.

Haven't looked at the classes but i would imagine i'd be best suited for the "STREET" class correct [Confused]

[Razz]

I'm just a little worried about the tech situation for this event as i'm not as much worried during TNT's.

I was actually thining of slowing the car down some to run in the mid 11's but then i'd have to deal with you running 11.5x's all day long [worship]

Probably a dumb ? but is the sportsman category heads up or bracket style?

Super Pro is 7.00 to 11.99 et electronics and slicks allowed.
Pro is 7.50 to 13.99 et no electronics but slicks ok.
Sportsman is 12.00 to 19.99 et DOT tires only no electronics.
Just set your shift points low and run it hard in forth gear for MPH.
All brackets are handicap racing, street included.

ok guys, i might make this trip.
Sorry, if i'm asking somethign that's already been stated, but is this heads up action? or bracket racing? Heads up, forget it, noway i can hang.. bracket racing would be more favorable to me.
so the street class gets 3 runs?
How many trial runs before elimination for sportsman?
thanks again.
Jersey M.

There is no heads up class all bracket racing. We will get 2 to 4 time runs before racing starts.Street is the same but no money to be won and you can run in the 12s in street as long as have DOT tires and mufflers. The only why you go home after three runs if your car is not legal for the 11.499 cut off or you lose a race.

Back from the track.

There were so many people there, I just turned around and left. Oh, well, I'll see you guys at TNT in a few weeks. [patriot]

Posted by 93PONY (Member # 60) on :

Yep....looked like a big fuster cluck to me....so we turned around & went home. Came back to spectate & only saw a few cars run more than once in the 3 hours we were there.

yeah no shit, they finished running the first round at 4pm [Roll Eyes]

Yes it was a big cluster get in the place,I got there at 7:30 am and did not get thru the gate until 9:15.After 5:00pm they had a bad bike crash multiable broken bones he had to be transported and we had to start running 1/8 mile runs. There where 125 cars in the Pro lane alone. My first round was lucky one I red lighted and still won the race because the car I ran had a 10.00 dail in and went 9.95 lifting the reason I won was the guy did not have Licence to run 9.90s so he was DQ. I broke out by .003 from the money round. [Frown]

There was simply too many people. Of course Sac Raceway isn't going to turn anyone down. I was on regular street radials and I had a hard time getting traction. Anyone else have a problem with traction?

Hell they ran out of food at what 2 or so? There is no order out there, whoever is running it must be family as that person didnt get their job with brains. [patriot]

Anyone have any news on the rider that was taken off in the ambulance? (The guy who crashed at the end of the track and whose bike caught fire)

Posted by Lilghoust (Member # 20) on :

this does not vouch well for sac speedway in my book. last time I went, half way through the day, the timslip printers went down so noone could get a timeslip. That sucked because I had my fastest run out there according to some of my friends but i have no time slip to prove it.

I usually go on test and tune only. The other event's are a crapshoot at best.
