I got my battery in the trunk, do I NEED a cutoff switch? Do they make you wear a fire jacket for power adder cars now or what?

My experience has been the following:

If you have a slower car (12s, 13s, 14s) you need to have arms and legs and a head to pass tech.

If you have a fast car, they are more intricate with tech.

My friend recentally raced with a trunk mounted battery and no switch at TNT. He passed just fine. It was a low 13's sec car however...

If your car runs, it will pass tech at Sac. [patriot]

You live in the bay area. Summit has this part in stock. If you order today, it will be here tomorrow. No excuse [Wink]

It may APPEAR to be brand new, however the ozone and UV rays "can" break down the fabric causing it to fail under conditions that you don't want it to fail.

Tech at Sacto has always been hit or miss. If your car looks like a racecar or you admit to them how fast it is or what you have done to it, they are more strick on tech. Easy way to bypass some of it is to leave your hood down and leave street tires on for tech. Not that this is smart as there is a reason for the tech rules...

I just want to run at your event Sunday with as little hassle as possible [patriot] The car is by no means a race car, it will be on drag radials and the hood shall stay down [Wink]

Every time I have gone to Sac they say pop the hood, they glance at it and give me my number and sign the tech card. They have never hassled me at all.

Is that the same lady that works the timeslip window? The time I was there, she was checking my car for a rollbar when I picked up my slip. [Eek!]
