Can someone on here reccomend one or two people that the majority trusts and feels is responsible?
Norcal-LS1 is putting on another event this year (well two actually) and want YOUR imput to help make it even more fair and run smoother then last time.
This event is going to be the "Norcal GM vs Ford EFI Shootout" and the plan is for it to be ONLY late model original EFI motors. The classes will be setup so it will be GM vs Ford in each possible race finishing with the fastest GM and fastest Ford in each class (hopefully.)
So, please decide on one or two people that know racing, know your cars (EFI Mustangs), etc.
Then they can contact me at:
BECcruice@starstream.net
or

We are going to have the "Norcal GM vs Ford EFI Shootout" on May 7th from 10:00am-5:00pm.
Yes, this is a Sunday. The track was fully booked with barely any Saturday events open, and with the issues we had last year sharing the track with another event we chose the full day Sundays.
We will also be holding a "large" even allowing more cars (carbed, full race, etc) on Sept 10th, Sunday from 10:00am-5:00pm as well.
I'll contact these guys and try to get some talk going through e-mail, as I'm sure it would be near impossible for us all to get together in person.
Thanks

Post the classes and rules as soon as you can. The earlier the better so everyone will have time to make changes to fit the classes. Thx for putting up another event

We're working on the rules/classes now. Hope to have them up soon so people can prepare, and give me time to contact sponsors so we have some good prize money for the winners and RU...

My car is way too fast to race but I will definitely go to watch. Sounds like fun.

Well we have not really gotten anywhere with the rules with this group of guys that was recomended. I'm putting a deadline up for this Friday to have the rules nailed down or we resort back to the rules similar to last years event...
So, lets make it happen so EVERYONE (yeah right) is happy.

Keep the same rules as last year. But this time, make Outlaw a true "run what ya brung" anything goes. And maybe keep all the heads up classes running in the .400 Pro Tree.

What is your reasoning why ALL the heads up classes should be .400 pro tree? Not many people actually run that tree, (ie. street cars on Wed night or T&T) so I think that would throw a lot of people off...
Outlaw "run what you brung" was pretty open last time as well... the reasoning behind it was to keep some semblence of rules, otherwise a top fuel car could show up and take it... but for $500 in prize money, that is highly unlikely... so maybe with only $500 in prize money a "anything goes" will work since the FAST guys wouldn't bother for that "small" amount...

Well from what I've seen, the .500 sportsman tree seems easier to get a redlight. The Pro .400 tree is almost impossible to get a redlight which would have better side by side racing. I'd rather see someone lose from reaction time than a redlight. Just a thought, no big deal.
Last year, the rules for outlaw was restricted to a 10w tire. Well, a 10w is a big tire. So either make it a "ANY" big tire class or a true 10 inch tire class. The track prep probably wont be good for anything faster than 7.50's so even if a top fuel dragster shows up, it will have a hard time going down.

Good points... I'd like to see wins from actual racing as well, but I think we would get more complaints about the .400 pro tree from the racers then the possible red lights from the .500 sportsman tree...
I gotcha on the tire size and track prep as well... We will take that into consideration. However last year I know of a number of people who didn't show for Outlaw because they knew or heard of a faster car showing up and "knew" they didn't have a chance. So without any real rules, I wonder what sort of turnout we would have?
