Well, I finally went to Sac yesterday to see how my new combo would do on E.T streets for the first time!!!! It was friggin hot out!!!LOL
I went 11.819 @ 119.237 with a 1.72 60' and then 11.951 @ 119.927 with a 1.76 60'!!!
These times were done using 100 HP of nitrous on the first stage and kicking in another 75 HP in 4th gear only.
The car has a lot more left in it with practice as the 60' times are no better than I was cutting on my 18" BFG drag radials.
I am still happy!!!
This fall I will be shooting for the 10's in my lil 2 valve!!!LOL

Perry

Nice times. How much psi did u have in the ET Streets.
Posted by Perry (Member # 1846) on
:
12 PSI.
I was playing with the 2 step feature in my SCT Excalibrator 2 and trying to figure out where to launch it at!!! It seemed like that at 5000 RPM it would bog for a split second and at 5500 it would spin so???
I'll figure it out sooner or later!!!

If those are your best times, then you will only go faster in cooler weather! The best I could do was a 9.51 @ 145.xx with a 1.54 60'. Too damn hot out and hard to stay straight. Congrats on your times. Next racing for me is hot august nites.

I have 3:73 gears and was using a set of 16" ET streets I borrowed from little Justin!!!
Don is about to install some Comp Cams 270's in his car so the war will be on!!!
I beat him to the 11's so now the race will be to the 10's!!!
I'll do a little suspension work before the next visit to the track and then up the shot!!!LOL
I don't know how accurate this is but my friend Steve Gunn said that my time corrected for weather would have been 11.58 @ 121.37 MPH!!

.020 windsor block
P&P heads with Mod Max valves
Comp Cams 268 cams (NPI cams 495 lift)
Flowtech Long-tube headers
2 1/2" exhaust with X-pipe, Magnaflow converters & super turbo mufflers
MMR plenum
FRPP 70 MM throttle body
Mac cold air kit
Mach 1 mass air & 24 LB injectors
SCT Excalibrator 2 tuner
BBK underdrive pulleys

SVT Focus pump
Mcleod clutch
Steeda Triax shifter
BBK Gripps subframe connectors

This is a very streetable combination. The driveability is better than stock, and the gas mileage is comparable (23+ hiway, driven right

Nice times for a lightly modified 99!! A good 60 ft time would really put a smile on your face.
