Sure, after I make a shakedown run. Didn't you already run mid 9's without your nitrous? What's that thing weigh anyway?

Great...hopefully you dont have some new secrets that put you in the sub 9.40 range
I ran a couple 9.60's and a best of a 9.56 last Friday on motor. I dont have any nitrous on the car yet. My feather weighs in at 2641 with me in it.

2641
That IS light! You'll have to tell me some of the ways you got it down that low. Does it have an interior?

Offense? Nonono..pride my brother hehehe...I meant to strip this thing down. Some people put on power adders, I take out weight
Here are some pics of the inside of the car. We all know how heavy a stock headliner is hahahaha...So here is my new one:
Here is the pic of my backseat. It is not very comfortable. Luckily, I do not sit back there:
I dont have any spare slicks so the spare tire area wasn't needed anymore:
Other than that, the car has fiberglass doors, lexan windows, and if it doesn't help the car go fast, I took it off!
Now, your car at 3450 is damn heavy, but I gotta say it looks awesome and for that weight is haulin ass!!!! Have you made any attemps to lighten it up?????
Posted by John91coupe (Member # 18) on
:
Naah, not much in the way of lightening it up. Still has power windows, stock seats in front, steel hood, carpet, etc. I guess I wanted to keep it as stock as possible, at least body and interior wise. Maybe I'll pull the passenger seat out for the 16th. What's that 40 lbs? Gotta be good for around .01, maybe a .49

Tell ya what...I'll give you a whole bunch of tips to lighten it up. However, would you mind me waiting until the 17th to tell you them?

what if you enter for test n tune do you still need to pay for grudge night? Whats the difference between tnt and gn besides the time and prices and muffler requirements. If you can't tell I'm a track NOOB

I am confident you will have to pay for both deals. There is probably a number sequence for the numbering of cars for TNT vs. grudge night. The difference is that TNT is one car at a time in one line whereas grudge night is side by side racing.

Yeah I thought he went Vortec, gregs got it right, the N/A guy getting back up from the turbo guy against the blower guys
Although we would love to see the N/A guy squeezing with "2 of the big ones"

Wait..I thought it was two perfectly matched mid nine second cars duking it out. Then comes along a high eight second car to back up one mid nine car and a seven second car to back up the other one
Who is the 10 second car?

Who is the 10 second car?

From what I know that is the current situation with the belt system he is running.

Well, it looks like I'll be working next Saturday. If a miracle occurs and I don't, look to see me there. I'm currently only running my old D2 with the 12 rib belt. With the D2 my car can't get out of it's own way. I'd be surprised if it could go any faster than about 8.8 seconds in the 1/4 mile--hehe.
Seriously folks, I'm really gonna try and make it. I love going to the track.

I'm trying to arrange it where the SJ boys pick me up and a few others in the Dublin area, then roll out to I-5 to pick up peeps from Brentwood, if it works out, you could slide right in too.

People, nuff with the LMK stuff . If you're gonna go, here's the dealio. SJ ballas leave around noonish, notify "89fakesnake" of your intentions if you live in the 408, pick up the Dublin area peeps at Starbucks in Dublin at 1:30, notify ME if you live near there. We roll to the (209)and pick up those playas at around 2-2:30 ish, we convoy to Sac as a big, loud ass, annoying, obnoxious group to the track. So determine where you reside and which place is best for you to meet up....be proactive so we can make this work...awhight?...with lots o luv.

Yeah, would have liked to make a full pass ,but track was questionable at times on the big end and we didn't want to risk hurting it since we have a big race this coming weekend in Phoenix. But we saw BIG improvements on the 60ft and 1/8 mile times from last year so car is gonna rip on the big end this weekend!

It was fun,...didn't do quite as well as I'd hoped. I couldn't get a good launch for the life of me. My mph's were good but my 60's were crap. I need practice on my starts plain and simple, otherwise my car felt good and strong.
everyone did good and there were a TON of mustangs there.
