Yes they do [Big Grin]

Damn good thing too, 'cause my car doesn't hook very well on my "small" slicks, so regular radials would be a joke

Becareful last time I went to redding on street night there was no water box or track prep. They want it to be as much like the street as posible. Its fun you will get in a lot of runs.

They changed that after about 3 weeks of everyone complaining about the traction.
Now they prep the track and fill the water box

Really.. being the large technologically advanced city of Redding, I figured instead of spending money on water there would be some guy out there with his pants down peeing on the tires.

new track? no more weeds half way down the lanes?

Not sure about that.
The track borrowed $70k from the city to resurface the track so they can bid on getting the NHRA Division 7 finals in the year 2008
They stripped the whole track and repaved it

Yeah, the weather has me debating... we will probably still go.. just get there.. tech in.. and wait for it to cool down a bit before running.. or just say screw it forget about the cars and just go camping.. I'll have to talk to my b/f to see what he wants to do.

Posted by MoostangGT (Member # 2894) on :

Ok.. we talked it over.. if the weather is gonna be as bad as predicted we won't go.. by the time the cars cool off between runs we would only get in a couple...we'll let some other people break in the new track then head out in 2 weeks..

What a bunch of cowards. Its to hot LOL what are you guy's going for national records LOL. I went, the track was greasy finaly got to with in a tenth of what I had run before. I went out at 9 when the sun went down and still got in 4 runs. There was a decent turn out of cars but I am sure the heat keep some of the (whimps) people home.

Yeah, I am a whimp... so much that I didn't even bother staying in redding.. we "got the hell outta dodge" and went up to Burney Falls where the weather was niiiice.
