Somebody asked me the other day who had the fastest 4.6, power added, nitrous, or NA it doesn't matter, I'm just interested to see who has the fastest 4.6. I know this is a topic of great discussion, so maybe this will take a little flak away from the actual "LIST" that Mark is doing. Thanks guys

well are we talking SOHC or DOHC
DOHC WICKED281 has gone the fastest 11.4 I think with his stock motor who nows what he will pull of this time

SOHC TRY2PAZ did a 11.8 with his car before he sold it

I think drew went 11.8 on some one else 4.6sohc for got who's

me so far I have gone 12.2in my sohc

i am trying to run 11.99 on my na 96 cobra gutted with drag suspension slicks shm short block stock heads and cams shortend runners imrc deletes kooks long tubes aeromotive fuel system 4.30 gears and much more to come but for now i have a empty engine compartment hurry up shm.....

Locally, I think Elwin might have the fastet SOHC GT. He's reported 12.2@114 in the Fastest list, but I'm pretty sure its run in the 11s, probably that 11.8 with the Drew Mod that 99GT-UJSTLST mentioned.

I haven't seen him, because I haven't been out to Sac Raceway since the All Ford drag day, but I know he's been trying for consistent 11s.

Yea I talked to elwin
but he has not beaten my time yet
im sure if he puts thouse 373 he will beat my 12.2 at 117

but will see how my 99gt does on the 14th if I have it ready

I hopeing for mid 11's on et streets

One day I hope to be on that list. HCI shortblock is getting built right now, FOXLAKE stage 2 heads get shipped out tomorrow, REICHARD RACING intake will be here in 3 more weeks and a new pulley for my Procharger is already here. If the T-45 will hold together it should go pretty good.

I'm far from the number one slot for a Poweradder(I'm working on it though). As far as NA goes I'm in the number one slot.

look like you're right.

He ran 105.5 mph last time out but only a 13.19, his best is a 13.156 @ 103.49 w/1.834 60'.

He runs on a drag radial and is 60' in the 1.8 range. Watch out if he hooks up!

try2paz, but I heard a black steeda GT with a procharger barely beat his best time. There have been several cars in the 11.9x range. --4.6 SOHC SuperCharger

I'll be in the running when i get some tires. as for now i ran a 13.4 at 114.8 with a 2.3 60ft. (the IAC hose fell off during the run too, if that matters. would that affect my time???)

i think bob cosby runs mid 11's at like 112 with his n/a cobra but has went through so many trannies.Reason being many cobra owners go boost is because those thing put out crazy rwhp.A simple vortech install will net them 450rwhp

I'm chasing your numbers(12.2)I'm almost there. Drew has pushed my car to 11.94, but I'm not posting his times, because I want my times to reflect what my car can do with me driving it.

I'm installing 3.73s this week. So I should be in the 11s soon. See you soon at the track. Are you going on the June 14?

yea ill be their
im putting in a stock motor, I just droped it in on sunday, I just need to hook up my ac and power steering, and blower and its ready

will see how it runs not to confident in this motor though couse one of the cylinders had rust in it

I cleaned it out as good as possible but I think its goin to be weak on that cylinder

but will see what happens im looking to improve my times as well looking for some 11's

The car is fine, and it WILL be done by either this afternoon, or wed. Morning...which means I fill up the tank, and drive for a couple hours!!! Gotta break it in before you race, ya know.

if i get my car back before this weekend, that 11.4 is at risk...

my car put down an 11.8 @ 116 with leaky headers, a cracked serpentine belt and 2.1 60' time...

i got the headers and belt fixed.

if that doesn't do it, i can always switch outthe 3.27:1 r&p for something a little more agressive...

i could take the spare out of the trunk, maybe the jack if all else fails.

who has put down the fastest 4.6 pass THIS year?


locally, i mean, not nationally...

My friend's car here in Dallas is one of the fastest and quickest STREET styled 4.6s in the country...

He is still tuning on it, but the last time at the track, about a month ago was a...

9.35 @ 145. This was slipping the belt at about the 1,000 foot mark. His 60 and 1/8th were WAY down from his best 60 & 1/8th... his 60 on this pass was a 1.5 or so and his 1/8th was a 6.1 @ 118 or round abouts. His best 60 foot and 1/8th are a 1.3 and 5.7 @ 122 mph. This car has 8s all over it, just has to get it dialed in with the new combo. The car is all over the magazine articles for Houston Performance. It is a White 99 Cobra with blue/purple flames on the front, with Weld Prostars. It made 970 to the wheels a couple weeks ago @ 7,000... the HP peak is 8K...

I think this car will go 8.5s @ 155-160 in the very near future... probably the next time out.

His combo is a DOHC 4.6 with a F1-R and like 25-30ish psi
