Went to grudge tonight. Damn my driving is rusty haven't drivin in months. No one was there. I got 14 runs in with a lot of waiting also. I did manage to run a best tonight but it was no where near what I can run with some better driving. I went 13.047@105.056 a 1.777 60ft and 83.278 half track. Well I toss the keys to drew and he runs 12.742@105.852 a 1.679 60ft [Eek!] and that was early in the night. If he would have ran it again later who knows what he would have done. Well hopefully next time out my driving will be better and I will be running some 12s.

You were soo damn close man!

I missed your best run I think. I was so disgusted with my car and the fact that they wouldnt let me run anymore 11s so I let my buddy drive my car for some 12sec runs LOL.

Were you power shifting? Cuz your launches looked good to me, so I am asuming Drew was making up the differance in his shifting. [Smile]

I expected the MPH drop as I was running cats but my 60's are going to shit and I think this converter is crap so I am having it redone to a 3800 stall and may swap out my cam if that doesnt help.

Ohh, weighed my car also. 3500lbs and a race weight of 3650lbs [Frown]

Post up a dyno graph and I'll try to calculate your theoretically ideal stall RPM. Did you ever figure out why your powerband went flat at upper RPM's?

I cant because my dyno sheets look like crap too. Thats one of the reasons I have to get rid of this converter. It acts whacko when you try to lock it on the dyno. So my power curve looks just like it did before I had the new springs put in.

Eric, I'm not going to be home today. But we can get together sometime this week.

Justin, Ya my driving was off all night. I would launch and my foot kept coming off the gas, not to mention a lot of bad shifting. By the end of the night I started to figure out what was going on. My new clutch is engaging in a different spot and Its throwing my timing off. Just some practice and I'm there.

Awesome! Guess those itty-bitty stock manifolds on the 99+ cars are pretty restrictive. Need to hit the dyno. Big kudos to Drew for the driving, and more importantly, the involved install!

Hey man either way you look at it your car is a lot faster. Like you always tell me about my driving, "It's all about the practice." I will be in the same seat as you when I get my car out there. I will have plenty more power with that blower on and I havn't driven it in about 2 weeks and havn't raced once in 2 months. But good job Mark 12's are right there in Sight!!!!!! My wife and I were out there with Mark. She ran the car most of the night. Her personal best was 13.6@105.... Until Saturday night. She ran 12.7@109. Not too bad for for her second time ever racing. Who knows a few more passes and she'll pass my times [Big Grin]

When was the last time Heathers car saw a 105 MPH pass? If I'm not mistaken, I believe it was before Shaun messed with the cam, right? [Confused]

I think this would surely be a good race. The cars run very similar times, and tire for tire would make it go down to the wire. Lets see how fast Heather can get the hang of those Nitto's. [patriot]

lol..It was during my first burn out.. My tires were sticking like crazy and i got all this wheel hop.. And just shook the damn tail light off. It sucked.lol But fuck it.

FYI, I ran 13.2 @ 105.x last time at the track in Heather's car....with a 1.9 60ft. & I hadn't driven the car for ~6 months before that.
Oh....I also hold the record in Heather's car....not Drew.

Shaun if you really think that your a faster driver then Drew all you have to do is prove it. Pick a car (any car) and both of you make a pass on the same night, same weather, same mods, same clutch, ect. There. Done. No more questions asked. In my judgement it should not be drews car or your car just so its not favored either way. I don't have NEAR the track time Drew has.
Never said I was a better driver either.

It takes practice for me to drive a car down the 1/4...I don't have the natual ability Drew has.
Nor do I care.

All I care is that I hold the record in my car...which means Drew can't drive her anymore. [Razz]

4 tenths....& that was without 4th gear. At half-track I was off Drew's pase by .2 seconds....with a shitier 60ft.

The mods I've done should give me at least 1 mph more.

Underdrive pullies, Port matched the heads to the intake, & ported the exhaust more. Still running the same boost.

Without boost my motor is a dog.
The boost is easily adding 200HP.

I figure GT-40 irons and 331 cubes can't make more than maybe 270 rwhp with your FTI weaknuts cam and 8.5:1 compression on motor [Big Grin]

throw it in a 7500# mustang and pray for 13's [Big Grin]

I'm up to ~9.0 to 1 compression now.
Started out with ~8.75 & the heads have been milled 3 times now. ~.006 inches each time.

Mark, you need to update over on the 4.6 board at Stangnet. You will move all the way up to #11! LOTS of cars in the 12.8's. Let's smooth the upper and get that 12.6!

mark so far the fastest bolt on is bill mustang92 12.47 108.Isay tubular k-member,bullit intake,weight reduction,skinnies,port upper intake should get you 12.20's-12.30's get that #1 spot.most of the guys with bullit intakes are trapping in the 108's i say get it

Eric, no bullitt intake for me. I don't think it will work with my nozzle kit. I see some P&P and weight reduction in the near future. I would like to get dwwn to a 3200lbs race weight, with my big butt in the car.
