I organized a dyno day at Apex in February and I'm interested in organizing a track day at Sac or Sears. Should be fun if we can do it.

Do you think it's too hot in Sept or Oct at Sears?

I believe Sac is 1k for like 4 or 6 hours for up to 5 cars, but don't quote me on that. I can find out for you if you like, I work there, and I know it's relatively cheap

Awesome! I'd like to get more cars in though to bring the per car cost down to a more reasonable level. $200 each is a bit steep.
Once the costs are known I was going to post here, the Stallions, NorCal SVTOA and at svtperformance.com to check for interest.
I'd appreciate whatever you can find out for me. I was going to call them tomorrow, but if you can get better info that'd be cool too.
I'll be looking into Sac and Sears Pt.
My e-mail addy is zo6slayer@svtperformance.com.
Thanks!

Renting the track for a day is like $4-5K PLUS fees for emergancy personel and such. It can get outrageous very quickly. We as a club have tried to rent before and they price was stupid.

Is this Sears Point(Infineon) you're talking about? I wonder if they do 4-5 hour sessions? I'm calling them today. Thanks.

Nah, that is Sac raceway. I can only imagine what Infineon would be lol. I believe Bakersfield is pretty pricey also. We ran one even there but I cant rmemeber how much it was.

Like I said, don't quote me on the price, but I will find out for you if you are really interested.

If you can get it down to like $40 for everyone, I know tons of people that would go up and run em'. Anything above that and I see a major lack of interest, but I think there should be some way to certify that you are a member of one of the boards to get in so not just anyone can roll in. Like make a list on this site and the others and check them off as they roll in the gates. I'll post this up on the sic crew's site once the final details are put together.

When I organized the dyno day we had in feb I had people pre-pay for it, or I would've had to come up with the balance of the money to pay Apex for the peeps that didn't show. We ended up getting hella people anyway.
I have Pay Pal now so that should make it more convenient for people to pay.
Infineon is sold out for the rest of the year until December, I was told, so this will be a long term plan thing. I'm still waiting for the e-mail from Sears Point about their rates. Oh yeah, another way to do it is to get one lane, like what was posted earlier.

I'll go, whenever it gets scheduled. Drag racing or road racing?

Actually, I want to take my nose heavy big block auto crossing and see how many times the ass end of the car goes around the corner before the front lol

Hey Ryan, I don't think $40.00 each is going to happen. It would be nice. But the way it looks, it going to run $75.00 to $100.

Sears Point was $4000 a day 10 years ago. I have heard that it's around the $10000 range these days. If you want to set up an Autocross, that may be different. With the huge paddock they have now, Russell Racing School has a course set up, so you may be able to work something with that even if the main track is in use.
