Sunday May 4th theres an All Fords Car Show and Drags - 9am-5pm More Info 530-888-7473

I'll be there hopefully my car will be ready to run by then.

Yeah, nobody said anything about Fajita Night!!! on another note, I will be there with the Dodge (ambulance) and probably my mustang, assuming I have the cams done by then! I'm supposed to go to Apex on Sat the 3rd to get it tuned in, so that will be a big plus too. Oh, and I still have that set of ET streets for ya My01Stang

It's the only all Ford event that we have up here in Nor-Cal, all us boring 11-13sec cars(who make up the majority of the the sport) need to show our support so maybe we can start getting some real Ford events out this way.

Good Call...bring down what you got and run it in Open Comp. First time racer of PSCA from San Mateo went to the finals last month. I'll be on Norm's crew in Bakersfield...watching from the starting line [Smile]

I'd rather watch a whole lot of Fords take out Chevy's than see a bunch of Mustangs take out a bunch of Mustangs. Thats like a KKK rally where everyone just hangs each other [Eek!]

paying to promote? i wish...i would just prefer as many races as possible withing one to four hours from san jose considering they are usually in vegas or arizona.

What's the story on May 4th?

I mean, how much to get in & watch, and how much to get in & race? I didn't find much info on sacramentoraceway.com

I'm not sure if I'll be able to go, but Mark brings up a good point, support at all Ford events is needed to bring more like events to the area.

The ONLY All Ford Drag Race, Car Show & Swap Meet on the west coast at Sacramento Raceway, May 4th. A MUST attend for all Ford owners. 3 Brackets & 10 Heads-up Classes, 30 Car Show categories & a Ford part only swap meet. Vendors, manufacturers, raffles & the ever popular "Burn-out contest". I went to their website, they describe in detail the 4 bracket classes, but I can't find a description of the 10 heads up classes? Anybody know anything about that?

Just trying to figure out how I'm supposed to set the car up (aka am I supposed to have 2 front seats, carpet, covered rear area, power adder ok, does battery have to be in stock location, yadda yadda)

Thanks for the info. I checked the site & now I have some more questions. The entry form shows $50 to enter to race, attend the show & check out the swap meet, + $10 because today is the April 25 cut date for the mail-in entry form. If I want to race, would it be O.K. if I just show up Sunday morning, and pay my fees? Or would I need to sign up ahead of time? The Steet Rod class looks like it could be fun for me (it's a bracket class, right?), I'd expect to see better quality drivers than what you see on a typical Wednesday night.

Also, there's a novice class. Is it safe to assume that when I get eliminated from Steet Rod, I can run in the Novice lanes as long as I want, similar to Wednesdays?

smog= irrelevant,
tags= irrelevant

mufflers= depending on class.

N20 bottle will require a blowdown tube,and probably a pressure-blast cap or whatever it's called (which I don't think they can see anyways, but if you have the blowdown tube they probably won't sweat it) adequate brackets to secure it in the trunk, and I'm sure it will have to "look" safe, aka steel braided lines and whatnot.
