I will be heading up to sac with scott (peninsula302) on saturday. Now I have been debating on weather to race my lightning or not and I could use some of your thoughts. Like a week ago I had a problem with one of my spark plugs and my coil pack broke and one of my spark plugs got fucked up pretty bad. I took it to the ford dealership and they said the thread in the head was messed up so they would replace it, for free because its under warrenty. Now They said I would get it back thursday or friday. I know for sure I am going to sac saturday in my lightning, I am just not sure if I should already race it with a brand new head. i thought I would have to brake it in, but I am sure most of you know more than me so your thoughts would be great. I could go to sac any weekend so let me guys know what you think. Race and go for it, or play it safe and just brake it in first? [Confused]

There was a TSB on this
quote:

Do not repair spark plug port threads in aluminum cylinder heads- Unapproved usage of helicoil for serice
Some engines equipped with aluminum cylinder heads may exhibit spark plug port(s) with stripped or missing threads, "Do not" service stripped or missing spark plug port threads by using "helicoil" or "tapersert" repair kits. It is likely that additonal engine damage or engine failure will occur after an unsuccesful atttempt to service the cylinder head spark plug reports with "helicoil" or taperset. The only authorized service procedure is to replace the cylinder the cylinder head assembly when spark plug port threads are damaged is to replace the cylinder head assembly when spark plug port threads are damaged and in need of service, refer, to the pertinent workshop manual (section 303-1) for cylinder head removal and installation procedures. Note: When servicing spark plugs for any reason , do not use air or powertools and take care to ensure that spark plyugs to not crossthread.

Crazy [Eek!]

I know you and him. I'm the guy with the primer black old mustang. I met you two on the 4th of july not this year but last year when we had a bbq at "tow truck mike's" impound yard and the cops showed up after everyone was shooting off fireworks, then they took our IDs and split us into two groups the one's with IDs and the ones without, i think you didn't have one.

I've been okay, mustangs been off and on running and not running and i've made a shit load of changes in the last year and a half. I used to see your white and blue mustang all the time in burlingame. I hang out in the parking lot every once in a while but not so much when my car isn't running. I'm going to the track saturday so i'll say what's up if you're there.
