Just let me start off to everyone that I am not doing this to be cocky or an asshole. Im not here to cause trouble or start some shit. With that being said here is the challenge...

Should you choose to accept I propose a race in Feb sometime one run at Sac Raceway. First to cross the finish line wins... So its not just about a low ET but also reaction yada yada.

The reason why I am Challenging is you have the license plate frame that says "Bottles are for babies, real men get blown" or something like that. That is the sole reason behind my challenge

Mine is "Lethal Speed Through Chemisty"

The stakes... loss of license plate frame for one month. To be replaced with "I lost to (WCKDBRD or WIKD281) a (N20 or S/C) (TransAm or Mustang)"
At the end of one month original plates to be returned to loser. I figure each of us should make the plate up prior to the race ie I would make "I Lost to WCKDBRD a N20 Fed TransAm" and U would make "I Lost to WIKD281 a S/C Fed Mustang" the loser would pay the other for the cost of lic plate frame as well or just 20bucks to make it easy.

So I lay down the gauntlet or on my sword (depending on the race outcome! )

I will be going back to the track and have to get used to my rebuilt T-56 and new motor> There is no point of racing a car that I have no clue how it will perform.
I have never worked on my reaction time so I will have to get used to that.

That is a very creative race suggestion and stated with genuine friendliness. It's nice to see this kind of challenge put down without the usual hostility that is part of racing "challenges" You sound like you really enjoy the sport. Kudo's to you. I'd like to watch that race when it happens so keep us posted.

Still having the issue with my old heads.. Shitty port job.. Got me a new set and taking them to a local place.. Should see some better numbers (i hope). And the Nitrous will go up to 200/250 depending on how the car feels. Should be a fun year in 03.

My little guy is getting big! turning 2 in May.. Time is moving way too fast. I miss seeing you guys once a while on Thursday.. You guys should roll out and say hi one of these days.. Brian.. get his ass out of Newark!

fastest my car has ever gone at the track is an 11.50. I have no cage and it's set up for street racing not track racing. Although I wouldn't mind going to the track and make someone look bad ONCE.

hehe, howdy guys. I know I'm new and all that (w00t 2 posts now!) but I wanted to comment on this thread.

This looks just like how the SmackDown on the Corral started off. That was one heck of a fun day at the track and now it has become an annual event. It all started with a couple of guys talking friendly smack to each other and setting up a race at the track. Then others wanted in and started calling other people out. hehe, twas a fun thing when I was out on the east coast. Loads of ls1.com guys and of course the Corral and other stang sites were in on it.

Perhaps this will become more of an "organized" event? Anyway, just wanted to stop in and say hello and it's always fun to read smack like this

Coming along quite well thank you very much.
Gotta love the T-56> easy to get parts for. Just have to change a couple of bearings I think> be all set to go back to the track. Dont know what kind of times I will pull with a 6 speed tho> hopefully it will live

I'd make the trip to CA to run that viper. I'll even run you on motor. But we run on a .400 tree, full 1/4 mile. $400. interested?? And to make it fair i'll add 300lbs to my car.

Car weights at legal NMRA weight 2350. I can go as low as 2200 with the car, but i feel that the car would be unsafe at that light of weight especially if their was a strong headwind.

Now about the Nova: If were gonna do this under my rules here it is: If he runs nitrous, so do I. Simple as that. But I won't run three stages, i'll just run one to even it up a little bit. What does the nova weight?? what ci?

Fastest Nova I know of is Dave Bowman's high 7 second nitroused 400. Looks like even this car would lose by about a second, or like 38 car lengths on the big end!

well since he only runs high 10s on motor and is hoping for high 9s with his nitrous then i wonder who will win. Like I said it's a street car. Eric will beat him but a bunch of us just want to see eric come all the way out here to do it.

i knew you'd back down, that's why we offered. There are pleanty of 6 second cars over there, you don't need to come over here. You just wanted to sound cool saying you'd come over here and race him when obviously you're not going to.

Trust me that 750 hp viper isn't going to be running mid 9s. This nova is a better race for you than the viper that you originally offered to race.

whoa, whoa, whoa. I never said that I wouldn't run him. I never back down from a challenge. I'm just sayin it will be pointless to come all the way out there if he only runs 10's. If he ran mid 8's or even high 8's/low 9's then it would be really worth it. Let me think on it and get back to you!

Last name is Mizak. I didn't compete in NMRA at all last year. My old 89 had engine problems and never could afford to get the car fixed. and haven't had a chance to run the car this year that much. The car is up for sale as i'm concentrating my efforts into going outlaw 10.5 racing.

I told you in the first post that it runs 10s all motor and he has nitrous on the car.

I stand corrected, just called Bowman's roomate. He had a motor failure last year, expected 7's, and ran a best of 8.13.

And it was a big block, but for the record a chevy 400 could either be a small block or a big block.

Single stage of N20 per X-street rules, capable of 7's.

I figure paint job is lucky to run 7's.... in the eighth mile

hey, yeah i made a trade with a local guy here with a 68 camaro set up for Outlaw 10.5. It has a 632ci gene fulton motor with two stages of jug. It should go a low, low 8/high 7 when everything gets sorted out. It's a backhalfed car, with chromemoly round tubing in it, funny car type cage, 4 link rear with back brace, aluminum interior, black with silver flames. I'll post more on it later, it's late and i need to be in bed!!

Why did I do it? Well here's why: Outlaw racing has some major money involved. Alot more than NMRA or any other organization. Instead of taking my new car and having it switched back over for outlaw use i decided to go ahead and make the trade simply because i knew the guys camaro really well, and i knew how it ran.

so you up for some 10.5 action or not? I talked to one of my outlaw friends this morning and he's up for a little fun. He's only about 2 hours away from central VA too so it shouldn't be too hard to set up a time or a place.

You planning on CCRA?

What time/speed did that run on it's two runs?

it went 5.08 on one stage in the 1/8th, I might run them later, but not right now. I'm gonna run it some locally and get the hang of it.

Re-building the T-56> I was told that it is plenty strong to support my hp level and will be good for my car>and the rear end I have 31spline axles> hopefully they're strong enought too.

We're just now starting on the roll bar so i don't know my dad hasn't decided yet if he wants to weld it in or get someone else to. Welding the Jeeps cage in was easy but i don't know about the Cobra's especially since it has to be NHRA legal.

My dad wants to compete in the NHRA so yeah its got to be NHRA legal but he does want it to be comfortable so we're deciding on how we should do it. Its prebent and everything we just need to measure it and weld it is all.
