get this, I think this run was at 22 BTDC!!!
I'm going to go check my car tonight and double check. It's friggin' impossible (for me anyways) to set timing in the direct sunlight!

got about 7 passes in, 2 12.5xs, a 12.7, and some other runs we won't talk about
I'd say the crowd was on the light side (there was a little headwind, massive humidity/fog).
maybe 200 cars total? little less?

shade tree, What kinda off rwhp are you putting down?? Nice #'s.

the ricer dyno in Fremont had me at 258/310 tq at the wheels, SAE, with my previous intake (performer rpm). One on now is torquier.
but I did get 3150#'s to go 108.x and I'm sure I'm just the proper timing/fuel/little things from a 109, so maybe 270 at the wheels at the track. just kinda guessing on what bypassing the PS and getting the right FP is worth.

I am trying to estimate what my little 240z is gonna do when gets done. It dynoed 275 rwhp and
was 10.0 a/f across the board so I figured with the proper a/f maybe another 10 hp? Car weighed in
at 2485 and 2700 with mee in it(fat ass). I was thinking 12.40's to 12.30's if it gets out of the hole decent. Does that sound about right???

totally, I figure 280-300 rwhp in that car has 11's potential (2700 lbs. raceweight)
12.3, 12.4, around 110-112 until the tuning gets right and then I figure 115+ mph.

Are you running the 280Z turbo engine? There is a guy with at 240 that has that setup that runs at sears point sometimes. His car is cool. I am a BIG fan of 240z...the FIRST japanese sportscar, rx7 has to settle for being 2nd japanese sportscar. Anyway, make sure you have the widest wheels you can get with that car.
you should be very, very , very low 12's with a very good launch, maybe high 11's with slicks.

No turbo 6, I went with the small block chevy swap. I dont no jack about turbos so I stuck with what I knew the most about, V8's. For tires , I am running 235/60/15 BFG drag radials on Centerline convo pro wheels. The tires seem to hook very well but we will seen when the 3000 stall is installed.
Thanks shade tree for the info, I figured that was about what I was looking at but needed some gearhead feedback!

well for starters I'm not talking about my car. I'm taking about the chevy tree-fiddy motivated 240z in this thread currently sporting a fat 10:1 A/F ratio. (context is key!!)
but I'm sure you'd rather bust on me, so , don't let me bother you!

Yeah , that tubbed 240 was sweet. I talked to him for a while in the pits. I am planning on keeping the IRS in mine cause ya never know when you get the urge to go road racing or auto cross. If that goes then out with the 700r4 hello T56!

Whoops my bad Joe, I thought you were talking about your car. Guess I should read more closely
But ya, if I couldn't bust on you (and vicsa versa) what good would this board be
