Well, I'm going to have to say that I'm pretty diaappointed with my performance tonight. There is nothing more frustrating than a 13.006 or an 12.011 for instance. Add up all the gears that I missed tonight and I think that they will out number the missed shifts from the rest of my life combined. Next time I guess I better come with my game face on.

Big appologies to Mark and Suan. You guys have awesom cars, sorry I couldn't get them into the next time bracket. Drew

One more run and I would have been.

Shit man...it was the first turbo car I have EVER driven cut me some slack. 500 RWTQ tends to go like this [burnout] [burnout] with those tires you have

You have a very nice ride and I feel privilaged that you let me pilot it. But still, isn't the 12.0 I ran the fastest it has ever gone?

Agreed, those tires are shit for what I'm running. Although I don't think she would've taken any more runs. The clutch was slipping pretty bad on the last run & all the way home. Seems fine now though.
2nd gear burnouts & 500RWTQ will do that. [Eek!]

Do you know how much rubber I pulled off the car tonight?!? A FULL dustpan!

93PONY- What was your best 60 ft and MPH?

Posted by 93PONY (Member # 60) on :

My best run was:
60ft: 2.1
1/8: 8.0 @93.8mph
1/4: 12.2 @119.1

I was spinning into 3rd.

2nd gear burnouts would result in 1.9X 60fts & a slipping clutch down the track.

On a full tank of gas the car weighs 3415 without driver.

What was Drew's best run? Did you run the McCreary's? What about the poor man's skinnies up front? So close to your 120 mph goal [burnout]

Posted by 93PONY (Member # 60) on :

Couldn't get the skinnies in time....actually I really didn't want to spend $100 on tires I'd use once in the next 6months!

Drew ran 12.0 at 118.99 w/a 1.93.
He backed it up w/a 12.0 @ 117.x @ a 1.92.
MPH dropped to 116, then 114 on my next 2 runs due to clutch slip. I did manage one 1.95 60ft.

After a cool-down the clutch seemed to be fine. Just not going back to the track without ET Streets & a Spec III.

500RWTQ & the Centerforce/Ford HD clutch setup don't like each other.
