Hi everyone...
I need to get some ideas of how to go to a dragstrip. I have never raced my car (except on the street). I have no idea if I need any special equipment, license, etc and cost.
So in a nutshell if I want to take my car, run it on the track and get a timeslip, how do I do that? I live in San leandro.
Thanks!

don't listen to the guys near the tree, they don't know what they're talking about.
proceed to do a MAJOR John Force style burnout on your street tires, and go down to about the 330' mark with your burnout.
next, roll back and stage with your back tires, turns the 1320' into a 1310', so much for the better ET
oh and

it will be more humorous to you when you see someone actually do it!
also, remember to roll forward into the burnout box whenever you damn well feel like it. Ignore the dude near the tree, again, he is clueless and just trying to cramp your style.
