I am thinking about racing at sears point but was wondering how good they are looking over cars, i have a trunk mount battery with no cutoff switch, will they let me race?

I bet you get away with it.
Last time they didn't even pop my hood (though my car looks stock but had slicks and skinnies on so not really).
Consider a 'dummy' battery up front as insurance. [Wink]

Go with the dummy battery at least. There is usualy one guy out there that does not open hoods, but lately they have been popping quite a few hoods. Good luck

how has the track been AS FAR AS TRACK PREP GOES?

Everybody (practically) says it's the suckiest track prep they have ever seen, but I disagree.

I only made two passes and went 1.73 and 1.67 without hardly trying (3500 ish launches, weak burnouts).

as for track prep, it's never great on wednesdays, it is usually awesome on weekends though. It mostly matters if the guy in front of yo ublew out a bunch of water from his pipes, or if they drove through the water with radial tires or something like that.

When i went last time they popped everyones hood. I think they would catch you if you relocated the battery to the trunk with no cutoff switch.

Just being honest.

I agree.... If you are not willing to take a chance, knowing that you may have to hang out I would not even attempt it.

So you have a cage but no cut off switch?
