I am just wondering if anybody made it out to Sears Point today for T&T?
How was the new track? Good traction?
Was it crowded as hell?
What time did you get there?
How many runs? Lots of rice?
You know all of the questions that us guys that didn't go, want to know.
Let us know!
Thanks

oh just wait [Wink]
last year there was usually about 8-12 lanes of phart cans and maybe 2-3 lanes of the domestic rwd V8's.

outnumbered roughly 3:1, if not worse [patriot]
I bet I could go pretty far bracketracing my automatic civic.

Thanks for the update. I was wondering how it was going to be. Any idea how much they were charging?

The track actually hooked awesome and my buddy that I went with got kicked out for a year for running under a 10.00

He aslo got his best 60 foot for the car out at Sears last night.

I dont think he wants it repeated but it was sub 1.39

Well it sounds great! I am gonna be out there next week for sure!
It was REALLY crowded though? About how many cars? How many runs did they get?

WE got there at about 4pm.

It was the usual Sears Point cluster fuck.

Were they spraying MAJOR VHT or something last week when you went? I went today and it SUCKED for traction. I didn't talk to one guy that had a decent 60' time without drag radils. Let me know why you think it was hookin like crazy when you went, and why it sucked today?
I planned on atleast a 13.7 2.0 60'
my best was a 13.9 with a 2.3 60' WTF????

I agree... what track were you at??? The traction was absolutely horrible. I spun the crap out of my F1's with less than half throttle. 12 second Lightnings were doing low-mid 13's. And don't forget the gale-force winds!!! Coming straight towards the start line. I heard 450 cars were there yesterday, that would be 2 runs in 4 hours. Cost $10.

At least I ran a 13.9 @ 101mph in my Stock to the paper filter Lightning, with a 2.3 60' [Big Grin]
And beat a Camaro by .01 Talk about a close race!

EDIT: Tone....that was you! Kick-ass race we had!

yup that was me [Big Grin] And yup, it was prolly the BEST race I have EVER had at the track! Good shit bro! And I bet you were happy to see that 13 second slip, huh?
hopefully next time the track will be up to par!
by the way, I got our race on tape. ANd I know that was your first time out there with the truck, so if you would like a copy, I can prolly put it up on the board so you can snatch it up! Only thing that sucks about the tape, is that the clocks weren't working so there is no proof on the tape how close it REALLY was. Also the funny thing about it is that my buddy who was taping said that some kid standing right next to him said "watch this Camaro beat the Lightning" You showed that guy he was wrong [Big Grin] It just would have been a much much cooler tape if the times were up!
Great race, and let me know if I should put that video up!
Thanks

Sweet! Yeah, I would love to check out the video!! I did the same as you, just easeddddd on the throttle and still spun like crazy. I think if we had a 2.0 60' we would have hit 13.5 on that cold night!
