Depends if you want to leave ca or not. Once you leave you’ll most likely not Be able to come back and buy a home.
If leaving I’d move to Florida. If not leaving I’d shoot over to Santa Cruz.

Ideally move to San Diego, get 3x the home with lots of dough left over and work remotely.
Would I sell ? Hell no cuz there is no reason to do it for me.
Where to move to would depend on what your goals and priorities are .

I have 16 year old twins, a boy and a girl. I'm waiting to see where they each end up after college. My wife has a brother in FL, so that's an option. I'd rather not stay in CA. Not a fan of the politics here in the heavily populated areas.

I wasn’t really in the Bay Area. I sold my house in Oakley in February 2022 and moved to Rocklin.

I bought a nice little 35sqmi farm in South Africa. It's not for the faint of heart but if you can deal with the Africa-ness of the place it's quite wonderful there.

No one is selling. We all refinanced at 3% when we could. Why would I give up a 3% interest mortgage payment for a 7% one if I don't have to?
