Just saw this the other day. Make sure you contact your local state assembly members and urge them to pass AB210. It will make all vehicles up to 1983 exempt from the bi-annual smog check.

Should be everything before 2000 since 2000+ doesn't require tailpipe test but you know that's not their goal....

They'll never exempt ODB-II cars. ODB-I cars have a chance in the future. If 83 Mustangs are exempt, 85 should also be exempt. I never see carburated or ODB-I cars on my commute anymore. It makes sense to locate your assembly member and urge them to pass AB210.
