At 1:23 a.m. Saturday, an officer tried to stop a black 1988 Ford Mustang near San Pablo Avenue and Victoria Crescent West, police said.

When the Mustang failed to pull over, police chased it for a quarter-mile before the driver lost control on Paradise Drive. The driver tried to run away, but an officer caught up to him and arrested him as he tried to enter his apartment.

Charles Kente Williams, 38, was arrested on suspicion of driving on a suspended license and evading a peace officer, as well as an outstanding warrant for a probation violation.

Williams, also known as rapper Keak Da Sneak, is known for several popular chart hits, including “Yadadamean,” “Super Hyphy,” “That Go” and “T-Shirt, Blue Jeans, Nikes,” as well as his feature on E-40’s hit 2006 song “Tell Me When To Go.”

Williams was taken to Martinez county jail, where he was in custody Monday afternoon on $10,000 bail.

Yeah I think Keak was on his way to work a shift at his local soup kitchen...... Cause like most Rappers he wants to help out his community.....Kanye is doing wonders for the people of Chicago and Colin Kaepernick will go down as the MLK of the NFL.

He hired my buddy as his attorney in his gun case in Sacramento several years ago.

If he's still in on $10k bail he must be broke as hell.

Keak is an artist and I personally love the music he made in the past. It brings back a lot of nostalgia for me and I personally hope he gets back on his feet and makes a comeback. We all have ups and downs and everything we have in life is temporary. I find no joy in his struggle and not everybody on the board does.
