It saddens me to inform our community we have had a tragic loss.
Kevin Fung member #338 is no longer with us. Kevin was a strong supporter of our community for over 15 years. He played a significant role behind the scenes, always generous with his resources; most notably time and intellect.
Even in his final weeks, Kevin made it a point to ensure our community will endure without his presence. Please take a moment to reflect on your life and take lead from Kevin. Share in acts of good will that better the lives of other humans.
Rest In Peace Kevin, member #338
If anyone has good photos or memories of Kevin they would like to share, please do. Anyone interested in funeral arrangements, I will let you all know, once it is posted.

Ah, I never saw it in person but his car is the reason I like the Lipstick Red - a Cobra, nonetheless. Didn't he recently acquire a COPO?
RIP to a fellow car enthusiast.

Rest in Paradise. How old was he and was cause his death if you don't mind? Hopefully, his cars stick with his family or gets passed on to someone special as him.

Sounds like he was in his late 40s early 50s, way too young.

I remember Kevin as a young buck coming into the car scene right out of highschool.
As a rookie I just always recall him having the cleanest mustang in the scene....twice lol...
Yes there was envy lol
Sad to see he's left this place, but I offer his family my condolences.

Normally I wouldn't post the reason he died, but he would want people to know as a cautionary tale. He passed away from cancer that he did not find out about until it was too late to treat. Please get yourselves tested and saw by a doctor regularly if possible to prevent this from happening to you.
As for funeral arrangements, here are the details from his sister:
We will have a get together celebrating my brother Kevin on Tuesday August 31st at 2:30 pm at
Phnom Penh House Restaurant
Chinatown Location:
251 8th Street
Oakland, CA 94607
(510) 893-3825
it is walking distance from Lake Merritt Bart, sometimes parking is hard

RIP Kevin. Kevin always helped me with the local GTG and the first Cal state hayward car show back in the day. He was a great friend and will be missed in the car community.
