Anyone from these areas? Looking around the Sac area for a home. Houses look nice and pretty decent prices out there. Just wondering how life it is out there(school districts, crime rate, employment ect..) Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance~~~~~~

I would rather live in roseville than elk grove due to traffic in south sac. Hey if you have dinero I would suggest El dorado hills. Sacramento ain't that bad. Crime is usually everywhere no matter where you live so you can avoid it. Employment Idk what type of jobs you looking for? The schools out here is ok but elk grove district is good. But hey you do have sac raceway!

recommend you check out some websites to get a feel for the neighborhoods through statistics. check out
www.greatschools.com
www.city-data.com/city
www.areavibes.com/

so you can get a feel for how these areas stack up.

seems in sac the places to be are el dorado hills, rocklin, folsom, roseville with bang for the buck being rocklin.

Hey mike, I am a realtor with Keller Williams Realty. I've actually helped a few CAford members on here. Sent you sent you a PM with some info. [patriot]

I suggest to stay away from Zillows, their "Zestimates" can be wayyy off. It sucks going to listing appointments and telling clients that dollar figure from Zillows estimate was wrong. They don't have updated market trends and statistics of what the homes in the neighborhood actually sold for . Often times people in my team will get phone calls about listings that have sold several months prior.

I live in East Roseville and love it. It is as suburban as suburbia can be, but we have everything you need!

My question to all the folks in the Sacramento area is where do you guys work and in what industry? As much as I'd love to buy a 'mansion' out in an area similar to Sac, it's hard for me to leave the bay area because I've been working in the Bio-medical industry for 10+ yrs and I don't think there are many companies within the industry outside of the immediate Bay Area.

My ex girlfriend is a Bio-Mechanical Engineer in the city. You guys are too smart for us out here....!

There are a couple of large hospitals in Roseville. I'm not sure if they hire in your specific field, but...

I work in trains and beer. Not at the same time of course;)

genentech has a location in sac..personally, if i was settled in the bay area, i wouldnt consider a move out to sac even if id be living in some fat house unless i was forced to move due to some circumstances(job, financial, family, etc).

Roseville, rocklin, Folsom, el dorado hills, granite bay are probably the nicest cities out here. I personally don't like Elk Grove because of traffic and there's nothing south of there...I feel like it's a nice city confined around a bunch of shitty cities

I stayed in fair oaks/citrus height off of Madison ave border, I loved that community everything you need on a long three block radius, then more in fair oaks n orange. worked in Roseville nice ass community. I always said if I was to still live in California to raise a family I would live there. crime rate idk I don't pay attention since I mind my own business.
