What you guys think not bad of a price eather

Seems like a good deal other than the fact the check engine and abs lights are both on might be something simple but dude needs to work on his spelling that's definitely an issue

had a friend call on it. the pink is still in the owners name before this owner.

Cruddy all season tires. Horrible spelling. ABS is inop and you can't smog it. Plus it seems there may be ownership transfer issues. Be ready to shell out some dough to get it up to par.

Orange tags - 2013? Back fees? Title in the prior owners name?? Watch out for scam.
Selling AS IS?? Red flag!
$9000 aint bad though for a Termi! Providing that ABS isn't something serious.
I wouldn't buy it without a current smog cert....a legitimate one!!
I don't care so much about the spelling, some people just can't!!

With an ad posted like that, how can he be "serious"? If you can't spell, have somebody do it for you, dumb dumb.

Damn I was that sucker that bought that junk cobra lol ran a carfax report checked out good original miles never been crashed interior is clean, driver seat a little worn no rips. Top in very good condition no major dents. Paint looks clean. I guess I got ripped of dont care about the check engine light gonna fix it the right way. Has tahs till July 2016 with registration sticker to match. Car fax last smogg was june 2015.

Best of luck to you. Hopefully you did a due deligent check of the vehicle prior to the purchase. Car fax means shit and only shows up if it has been reported.
Hopefully the repairs don't cost an arm an a leg as some items can be expensive or pain to fix.

Honestly, as long as the car checks out. I don't really see a problem with it. There's plenty of individuals that have daily driven terminators since rolling off the lot and are well over 200k miles.
Congrats on the purchase!

LOL to the pics above ^^^ every one of the pics above look like shots from EPA.
Anyways, I think the point people were making about the ad was that it looked fishy. So many misspelled easy words, makes it look like the car was as well taken care of as the CL poster's education level.
Sounds like you didn't bring a scanner to find out what the code was reading either which would make it a scary purchase for you as well.
I doubt we'll ever know how good/bad the purchase was because you just got through telling us how great it is within a few hours of purchase. Wish you luck with it and hope it turns out good for you.

Lol EPA im actually from the east bay and those pictures where taking on the hayward hills. And I dont know how many times I have to mention I GOT THE MONEY TO FIX WHAT EVER IS WRONG WITH IT, Fuck a scanner lol I can careless if they guy can spell or not lol didnt stop me from getting a nice little cobra. I see overprice foxes/cobras all the time with salvage titles and that still dont stop people from getting them.

You gotta be careful buying clapped out Terminators. a $9000 Cobra can turn into a $20k headache before you know it and by then, you'd wish you just bought a low mileage mint one to begin with.
I didnt see the ad so i dont know what people are talking about. Post some pics!
Posted by 135.0 (Member # 4992) on

might be normal wear and tear, might be major. Still at the asking price you can fix and keep it or fix and flip it and still possibly make good, worst case scenario.
We all know why they hating, it's because they didn't have the money or the time to check it out themselves so they want to talk it down to shit cause that's what they are.

I honestly dont see a 20k headache worst is I can buy a used engine low miles for around 5-7k it has a brand new clutch with reciepts. 9 to me is not a bad price for a real termi and clean title

Based on what people ITT are saying, I was expecting a primered bucket of bolts on wheels. Looks clean and stock from that picture.
A clean title'd Terminator that runs and drives on its own power for $9k? You stole that thing. You can fix whatever little issues it has, throw some wax on it and sell it for $15k next week as it sits.

Youre on CAFords, 95% of the active people on this site are broke as hell. They are hating because they dont have the money so they have to put others down or they didnt get to the car first so they are in denial.
The hilarious thing is, These are same people trying to get $5k+ for clapped out Foxes that belong in the junkyard.

Please use the back button and re -read what was posted someone asked a question about the vehicle. Based on my personal experience of having bought over 100 cars not including motorcycles trailers or parts in craigslist. I had my opinion of what the car sounded to be a headache.
The ad was poorly written and the multiple issues were described by others.
This was prior to your claim that the vehicle had been purchased by you.

A consensus can't be reached when there is quite the disparity in financial perspective among users. You have to keep in mind that the forum is comprised of users from different walks of life (although likely skewed to one side) which is why those who prefer to "play it safe" and not buy other's headaches are perceived as "haters". I personally am one of those discerning buyers who would prefer to pay the average asking price for a car that has been well taken care of, UNLESS I know them well and can obtain the parts easily (4th get F-Bodies, for example. I'm sure fox bodies fit the bill, too).
It seems you're comfortable with your purchase and if that really is the case then you shouldn't be worried about defending your ego by replying to those you see as haters. It's a public forum, what do you expect? Just enjoy your damn toy already.

who gives a rats ass if ppl disagree with your purchase. whats most important is you're happy with it and you take the criticism with a grain of salt. the ppl that have been on here awhile should know that its expected you'll get some negative feedback on any given post.
if you're not thick skinned enough to stomach what you're reading, you shouldnt be on this site.

Paid 9k for a car that needs 4k worth of work makes all kinds of financial sense.

on a serious note, if that drivetrain is in good shape on that termy...thats a pretty damn great deal even if the car aint perfect.
on the flip side, a grenaded motor could easily cost you 6k and up in rebuild costs which would put u close a decent shape running condition termy.
i should know cuz i spent over 10k on a rebuild for my 97 fobra roush with a termy conversion after finding out the initially suspected head tick was actually a bottom end issue. them motors aint cheap to fix and buying a used low mileage engine doesnt guarantee ur getting a issue free motor.
