Cool sleeper. But at the end of the day, it's still a Bimmer and will still break and cost you a fortune.

The e36 is much cheaper to fix and repair if need be, but I've had other models that can be expensive.

I like the idea, just wish it was a little cleaner. That motor looks huge in that bay! Nice to see people coming up with unique ideas like this

I'm glad my E46 hasn't given me problems but then again I'm only at 105k. Only "major" problems I had was that I had to overhaul my cooling system last month. I am glad I'm able to do my own work otherwise I'm sure I would've gotten a fat bill. One thing I have noticed is when one thing goes out it takes something out with it.

My old E46 had a few problems at only 70k miles. I had to replace cam sensors and sunroof cassette. Shit isn't cheap. Sold it with 85k on it.

Yeah mine doesn't have a sunroof(I don't really care for them). Was yours auto? I hear auto trans in these cars are garbage which I'm glad mine isn't. I do need a new clutch sometime soon because the current one chatters under 1k RPM. You are right though, these replacement OEM parts are like the same price as top of the line fox parts.

Mine was manual and no issues with any of that.
