There is a smog check point on San Leandro Blvd by the Pick n Pull heading northbound. I don't understand why they waste time catching people with cars who might fail smog while there are more important issues they need to deal with.

There not trying to catch people for there cars failing a smog check. What there doing is getting numbers and comparing them to there last smog check and seeing if shops are fixing cars for failed smog inspections right. 70% of cars that have a smog repairs done fail with in 6 months of said repair and smog inspection.

This is an optional test, they don't record any information on your car like vin, plate number or any illegal mods. It's for statistical purposes only.
