Recommendations? I am building my first system in 5+ years for the 13'.
Ive decided on this so far:
Pioneer AVH-X2700BS Head unit, double DIN
Metra dash kit with LCD climate controls
Infinity Kappa 682.11cf 5x7 speakers in the front, not replacing the rear. The rears will be disconnected because I hate rear fill
Two JL Audio 10w3v3-4 subwoofers at 2oh
JL Audio JX500/1D - 500w RMS to the subs at 2ohms
Kicker 40KX200.2 - 100w RMS to the 5x7's at 2ohms
2 guage power wire to a distribution block in the trunk.
Any thoughts on the gear? The last build I did in an old foxbody was this:

^ Did your name use to be 90gtvert?

I think it was FiveohMike from 98cobra.com days.

Very nice build on your vert.
Might as well upgrade to W6 subs. No capacitor?
What's wrong with rear fill? I seen a notch with 4 6x9's in the rear panel awhile ago..

It doesn't seem to me that he wouldn't need W6's when he's looking at only 500RMS between two subs. That should make for clean bass without being overpowering. I would suggest addressing the charging system as opposed to a capacitor (higher output amp, maybe additional battery in the trunk). You already plan on using 0/2 gauge it sounds like so that's good. A better place to ask this question would be a stereo oriented forum, such as the SMD page. You'll get a million different opinions but at least you can pull bits and pieces to suit your needs.

Sorry I should have added I am adding a 1 farad cap on the Mono amp circuit after the distro block.
I think the '13 charging system is good, I do not plan on running this thing just sitting for long periods of time.
Definitly don't need W6s, not trying to be heard for 9 blocks away
I posted on some audio forums, just looking for anyone who has done it in the 13/14 GT's

Didn't you trade the vert in to a dealership?

definitely not going for Ghetto base, hence the 2 10w3's and only 500w

That would be a badass system. Ide personally go with a slash 500/1 jl amp. Produce way cleaner bass and they never go out. Those 10s are 500 rms each. That 500/1 slash amp can push those tens very well. Make sure you get the right box built though

The box is a super stiff, .74cf per chamber sealed....right in the wheelhouse for these JL's. I ordered everything a little bit ago, doing the install this weekend. Will post some pics.

I love JL products, but I'm not a fan of Infinity. They are too "screechy."
A couple of questions. JL amps will produce a way cleaner sound than a Kicker amp, why not a JL for the front? Also, why not separates for the front? Lastly, and not really a question, but I've noticed that I prefer a single 12" over two 10" in every way.

Good morning! I have a small stereo in my 99 saleen vert and im very happy with it. Ive mostly used JL subs on all my stereos but this time the stereo shop recommeneded Hertz subwoofers. They installed (2) 10" Hertz subs in a very small box on the side of the trunk and I think it sounds waaay deeper and tighter than my old 99 cobra did with (2) Kicker L7 12" subs. Alpine digital amps and Focal seperates in the front. 6.5" coaxial for rear fill. Your welcome to listen to it if you would like? PM me if interested.

To be honest about the Infiniti's...they were on sale hah. I have always thought they produced pretty good mids though for metal, and I wasn't too impressed with the RF's in the vert above.
By separates for the fronts do you mean like a separate components system? Did not want to do much fabrication, just using stock mounting locations.
Also space is a bit tight in the trunk so worried about a 12" and fitting, its gonna be close with the 10" (vertical depth that is).
As for the choice for the Kicker/JL for the fronts. The only option would have been the JL JX360/2 amp but it does not support remote gain control. Which I wanted as I am setting up a gain tuning setup/crossover control in the cupholder.

I remember your old cobra, that thing was pretty badass.
My buddy has some Hertz speakers and those are pretty awesome. Are you running the HX300's?
I would have looked at something like that but I already had a JL 10w3v3-4 here at the house, so just getting a second one and running them at 2ohms.

Cant go wrong with the jl subs! Good stuff.

Did the soundproofing alreday, put some dynamat in the door and sprayed rubber where i could.
Running RCA's plus remote turn on:
Ran the 4g power wire down the right side. There is a rubber grommet in the wheel well that i fed it through. Had to use KY Jelly to lube the wire to get it through the grommet though. Neighbor stopped by probably though i was a wierdo.
I think for now I will end up with something like this. I am going to get a custom box built as there is a lot of space behind the box but that wierd angled shelf is a bitch. So for now:

Well finished everything up today:
Wired up:
The metra face place in action with touch screen climate controls...a little janky but works great:
All buttoned up, looks kinda factory:
So far the stereo is WAAAAAY louder than I was thinking. Speakers are sounding great, subwooders with only 500w hit retarded hard inside. Metal sound great, Rap sound great. All in all not a crazy hard job just took some time. Pretty happy with the results.
