So after doing some research it seems a lot of people had issues with the 4 cylinders, mainly transmissions going bad, the one I'm looking at is a 6 cylinder, does anybody know if they have the same transmission?

i have repaired a few fusions overall great car for the money, one normal problem that i have had to do multiples of.... exhaust diverter valve goes bad, allowing water to backfill the smog pump causing the smog pump to fail. this comes with a pretty hefty bill at a shop to fix and even at home it's still 300-600 bucks mainlly cuz theres no off brand aftermarket diverter valves sold, oem from ford only!!

I had a brand new 07 4 cyl. The transmission went out at 28k miles, the replacement went out at 90k. the catalytic converter went bad and needed to be replaced at 80k. BUT other than that I had zero issues. changed the oil and that's it. Brakes still had 30% left on the pads after 130k when I sold it. I had the sport model, the black leather with red stitching and maybe an upgraded sound system? I would try to find one of those because they're the same price but a much better looking car
