So as promised it's my goal to bash those guys to any and every car connection i have. They specialize in LS swaps.we used them to do our stand alone wire harness for our 57 chevy truck ls6 build and they didnt dissapoint. So my friend went to them for a turn key motor swap for his 65 elcamino, they talked him into going with a 2009 vortec motor because of the iron block. This was sold to him as a complete drop in system as they claimed to have done numbers of these. He paid an extra $1200 to have them installa custom ground cam system. after driving down from santa rosa to gilroy and getting back ready to install nothing they promised was true. Motor mounts were wrong, exhaust manifolds hit the frame and worst of all the vortec truck manifold is way too tall, hood wont come close to shutting. After a few call to them and a whole lot of heel raising there still not willing to make it right. They want to charge my friend another $1500 for all new front accesories for car and he needs an ls3 intake and fuel rails. He's $9000 into what he has already fuck these guys dont give them buisness ever!!!!

Sounds like your buddy should have done his homework. Nothing is "bolt on" when its comes to custom classics.

65-408 your opinion of my buddy needing to do his homework is way off. He was recommended this complete built motor by pacific fab. i repeat recommended and assured by them it's a straight drop in swap. He went with them being the professionals that have done this numerous times, the homework should have been done by them. I just got off the phone with my buddy and evidentlly my post got back to pacific fab and they are in process of making this right. I will update further
