Got the short block ready, now it is time to piece the rest of the setup together. Short block is a Dart 363 with Diamond 9.1cc dome pistons, scat 4340 H beams with arp 2000 bolts, and a scat 4340 crank. Should be roughly 13.9:1 and ran on e85. Looking to be a pretty nasty N/A build!!

How much rwhp are you aiming for?

Posted by Camara90 (Member # 134) on :

525+, but it has a c4 in it so more concerned with ET. This is my first build with a big bore and this kind of compression so we will see what she can do.

Yeah, I hope it runs hard. Keep me happy for a long time. I currently have the anderson pms which I hope will handle the rpm I am going to spin this thing. From what I have seen there are some people out there running high rpm with it, I know its not the best but I want to try and use it.

Not sure yet, probably throw this other block in my garage I gotta get rid of on it and then give the shit away. The older I get the less shit I keep, takes up to much space.

Thanks, Converter was from my 302 setup and off the t-brake it was around 4400. The converter was setup for a 150 shot on that setup, so I will see how it does behind this setup, and then send it out to be re-done. The cars race weight is 3300 currently. Rear is a set of 3.73 currently, I anticipate that changing as well.

I think once I get everything dialed in I should be able to get this bad boy in to the high 9s NA.

Looks beasty!

Check out 6061.com if you are looking to run a smaller cowl hood. They make some beautiful fabricated intake elbows that keep a lower profile.

Thanks Phil, I was looking at their elbows but Ed was not a fan of the square entry and wanted rounded. Too bad, because their elbows look very nice for the price.

Fantastic build man! Need to put up some videos when you fire that monster up!

Posted by phildog (Member # 1214) on :

Ah, I understand. I remember years ago on sbftech.com there were a lot of people running the SuperVic lowers and 6061.com elbows on big inch motors to keep a low profile. I would have gone that route but wanted to 'try' to pass a visual smog inspection.

Still wrenching on this forever build, free time just seems to get harder and harder to get these days. Motor, Aeromotive Stealth fuel system, new trans, and new converter all in. Need to finish up installing all the Holley efi, make brake lines for the manual booster, finish installing the pedal assembly, and figure out what I am going to do for a trans crossmember since it is going to interfere with the exhaust setup coming off these huge ass headers. Hopefully she will be ready to fire up in the next month or two.

lol, I'm serious. This adulting shit takes too much time. Hahaha back in the day with my old fox I would have had all the boys over and the car would be done so quick. These days, not so much.

I was able to some how build my car in around a year 30 minutes at a time, still not sure how I was able to do it, when you get done it’s hard because you don’t have anything else to do, I think in order to stay interested you need something to mess with or a part to order.
