I am currently taking 11.5 units this quarter while working 40-50 hours a week. I feel like I am not going to have any time to do fun stuff. I am taking Human Bio, English and a counseling class. 12 weeks of torture. GO

All about time management. Don't procrastinate and try and stay ahead and organized, so when things come up it doesn't completely throw you off. I abhor essay writing and constantly put them off. Classes seem relatively basic shouldn't be too challenging, just schedule your time. Good luck.

Now is not the time to be doing "fun stuff". Either you want to go to school or you dont. If you want it you will make it work.

Took 16+ units per semester in my last 2 years of my BS 0750a-1620p. Drove to my internship and worked until 2200. Homework from 2300p to 0300-0400a some nights/exam.

Drank a lot of coffee those days. [Whoo Whooooo!]

I do 9-12 units every semester, I go 3 days a week.
I work at 7pm-till 1 or 2am..have plenty of time to do what I want between those hours
I get sleepy from time to time in class though.

I'm taking 12 units upcoming spring semester. It's not that bad just that, I don't own a goddamn computer! It sucks because I have a English writing class, and my math homework is online. Pretty easy so far as my 2nd year in college.

I have no choice but to go to weak subpar quality DeVry. I have 70 credit hours that I can't transfer to CSUEB like I planned. I took 35 credit hours last year and plan on taking another 35 this year. I take 1 class on campus and the others are online. If I were paying out of my pocket I wouldn't be going to school full time but I like the extra income from the GI Bill.

There is no way I could do traditional school with 2-3 day a week classes plus the HW and exams.

I enjoyed my Christmas break though. Finally got to play the XB1 and got a ton of shit crossed off my honey do list around the house.

Keep at it and keep chipping away. I hope to have my degree by winter 2016. I'm taking a few semesters off due to my wedding and honeymoon.

Me too I'm shooting for bachelors to be completed by 2016, technically if I stayed on track this spring should've been my last semester but life does get in the way.

To op, I use to work full time, do school full time and hustle on the side. And I had scholarships so the work and hustle was extra.

Completing my Masters now. 3 courses a semester, full time 40-45 hr/wk job, single parent, still trying to mess with cars. I have a break for 3 weeks starting the end of the month...think a Fox Mod Coupe can be built by yourself in that timeframe? Gonna try it. [patriot]

As stated, all about time management. I like a good challenge now and then.

I worked six days & 56 hours a week previously while attending CSUEB. 12 units at a time. I was eating dinner at 11pm and up again at 6am. Fun times! I'll be attending CSUF this semester, moving down to SoCal next week. I've taken out school loans so I'll just be working part time now for the items the loans won't cover. Here's to a brighter future and student debt!

There's nothing wrong with school like DeVry so long as you are realistic on what they can provide you. Is that degree going to get you into R&D at Tesla? No. Is it going to get you a good entry-to-mid level position at a good company in the tech sector? Yep, probably. It's all about what you are willing to learn from it. Schools like that are also good for networking. Most times, there are a lot of working adults that are already at a good job, but just getting the degree to fulfill a lifelong goal. Those people can help you get your foot in the door and provide you a good reference.

I used to do their EET program but got D's in calculus with a tutor. I switched to a BA and hardly anyone takes those classes at DeVry. Seriously, only 5-8 people per business related course on campus.

No, there isn't anything wrong with it but their program leaves a lot to be desired. Small classes are awesome but when half of those people people put in minimal effort it makes the classes hard to take seriously especially if they are potentially getting the same grade as me while doing less quality work. I suppose this is true any where not just in school.

I re-approached CSUEB and I got better results this time. I am 1 class away from being accepted as a Business Administration major and they transferred 5 of my courses toward their lower division classes. So far, it is nearly a 1 for 1 switch and will be a lot cheaper once my benefits run out. 7k a year over 25k a year is a win in my book.
