Throughout the years ive heard of people trying to claim other people's kids...
I know of a guy with 3 kids that gets paid in cash and won't be filing taxes so im thinking of offering him some cash to claim 1 of his kids....

Is it possible ?

Posted by losbadgts (Member # 4394) on :

Anything is possible but everything has there consequences. You may get audit so be prepare to always have proof.

Sounds like Welfare fraud, but you do what you do.

Risks for penalties far outweigh the benefits, I'm assuming. IRS don't play son!

Don't do it.I've been audited before for a different reason and that sucks. It was an honest mistake by me, I still had to pay $2500.

It could be fraud but id rather get the extra 3 to 4k that I worked for instead of letting some lazy ass people with no job get it. I wouldn't go thru all this trouble for a 500$ difference either but were talking about an extra 3k +

Unless you're housing or feeding kids, you should go back to the lazy ass people and take their money because it's their genitalia that has caused you and other taxpayers to pay for them.

And if you better be able to prove you've been taking care of those kids because their social security numbers are all over welfare paperwork and if they see you taking care of them making X amount of money but still receiving welfare or wic or whatever the fuck else they receive, somebody's gonna come knocking on your door bruh.

he's right.. its not as easy as just claiming the kids and getting extra cash.. its the IRS ur dealing with, not a high school principal that will buy any lie you feed him.. And if you end up getting audited, then ur in a whole another boatload of bullshit that u will have to deal with.. not worth it bro!

We should make it a sticky or under a new section named GHETTO FAQ's.

Include all smock hookup questions, DMV fee questions, cosigning for someone with a 300 fico, how to apply for public assistance, get you an obamam phone, and all you wanted to know about obamacare.

Maybe you should co-sign a loan for him too.

I had a roommate that her parents claimed her kids, but the kids were living with the parent...
so it is possible, but only do it if its legal. to offer him money so you can claim his kid is a fraud! Trust me when the I-R-S knocks on your door, the penalty will be much bigger than the reward.

Not worth it IMO

totally forgot, I actually was audited the first year I claimed two kids. I went from 0 kids to two, and the IRS letter came. Yes I had twin boys, so it was easy to prove.

The LS1 scene is slowly getting there too with how cheap the clapped out F-bodies are getting. It's a sad state of affairs for the Bay Area car scene as all the "ON INSTRAGRAM STRAIGHT FLEXIN" fools are picking up LS/Ford/Mopar/ LS swapped cars for the egotistical side of things rather than true enthusiasts [Frown]

The statute of limitations for filing a fraudulent tax return never expires. Just something to think about.

Did you really need to ask? It's obviously illegal. If you took 10 seconds to Google the IRS code, you would have found that out and saved yourself the hassle of being hassled.

He was trying to purchase the kids social security numbers for some cash in the hopes of a bigger profit by filing a fraudulent tax return.
