What are you guys using to heat and cool your garage? Or workshop?

Ive been planning to install a mini split hvac lots of european areas use them and asia. Seem easy to install and more efficient than a window unit. Plus it looks way better installed than a unit hanging out the side out of your house.

insulate said garage, tie into the HVAC, and you now have heating and air conditioning.

Garage is insulated along with doors.

I dont want to tie it into the home hvac because there is no way a single inlet is going to heat or cool 1000 sqft.

Plus you have noxious gases that permeate the garage which can be carrried on into the interior of your house.

This isnt about being a "man" or not. Its about being able to be comfortable year round. I dont know about you guys but it gets hot as fuck here in the valley and I sometimes work on projects during the winter when its in the low 30s outside.

What brand unit are you using?

Ive been looking at LG, Daiken, Mitsubishi or Samsung.

Did you install it yourself?

Thanks for the info.

Just got done performance testing the unit.

Ended up with an LG 24k system.

Pressure checked the system for leaks pulled vacuum on it in 3 steps for about 2 hrs total. Opened up the the freon and fired her up.
